10. The Bad Batch Will End With Season 3
On Monday, The Bad Batch creative team Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Athena Portillo were joined by actors Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang to discuss highlights from the second season as the Bad Batch continued their journey navigating the aftermath of Order 66 and the rise of the Empire.
Fans in attendance were treated to a first look at season 3, while it was also confirmed that will be the show's last.
The sneak peek confirmed that Ming-Na Wen's fan-favourite bounty hunter, Fennec Shand, will return alongside Nala Se, Captain Rex and, most surprisingly, Commander Wolffe. The third and final season of The Bad Batch is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2024.
9. Andor Season 2 First Look Revealed
The cast and creators of the highly acclaimed Disney+ original series, Andor, were on hand to treat fans to an exclusive first look at the second and final season on Friday.
That's currently in production and chronicles the next steps in Cassian's journey as he fights to assemble a fledgling resistance. It's been confirmed that Andy Serkis will return as Kino Loy, and a full description of that teaser trailer can be found by clicking here.
Showrunner Tony Gilroy also revealed that he expects the Rogue One prequel to premiere sometime in August 2024.
8. Return Of The Jedi's 40th Anniversary Re-Release
Return of the Jedi is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, and a panel looking back at the movie's legacy ended with the news that it's returning to theatres on April 28.
While not necessarily the most beloved movie in the original Star Wars trilogy (that honour surely goes to The Empire Strikes Back), we're sure many of you will jump at the chance to see the epic finale on the big screen.
Check out the poster - which was handed out to those in attendance on Sunday - below.
7. Lars Mikkelsen Is Grand Admiral Thrawn
Rumours have swirled for months that Lars Mikkelsen will reprise his Star Wars Rebels role as Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka, though the actor has repeatedly denied that.
In an extended trailer for the series shown during Saturday's panel for the Disney+ series, Mikkelsen's face was shown, confirming that he is indeed playing Thrawn. We can assure you that he looks fantastic as the villain, and the actor then arrived on stage much to the delight of fans in attendance.
He didn't have a lot to say about returning to the role due to the level of secrecy surrounding Ahsoka, but it sounds like it was always going to be him. You can check out the regular teaser below.
6. Star Wars: Visions Returns
The Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 panel was filled with an abundance of reveals ahead of the series' May 4th release, including first story details for all nine shorts, casting, the trailer (which you can watch below), and more.
Executive producers Josh Rimes, James Waugh, and Jacqui Lopez discussed the success of the show’s first season and teased how Volume 2 will continue to push the boundaries of Star Wars storytelling, with nine new shorts from nine studios from around the globe.
Filmmakers from each studio also shared how they incorporated their country’s history and culture into their stories and created original characters that fit into this Galaxy before those lucky enough to be in attendance got to see Aardman's "I Am Your Mother" early.
