After first being teased in
Star Wars: The Force Awakens,
The Rise of Skywalker is finally going to introduce the mysterious Knights of Ren. Recently, information surfaced pointing to the Knights having served Supreme Leader Snoke before he recruited Ben Solo to his cause, and the latest intel makes it clear we may not get to see what's beneath their masks.
That means they could either be humanoid or alien in appearance, but their "secret identities" clearly aren't a priority for director J.J. Abrams in this final chapter.
It would, however, be good to learn what the deal is with them and what connections they have, if any, to the Dark Side of the Force and powerful bad guys like Snoke and The Emperor. Rian Johnson chose to completely ignore the Knights in
The Last Jedi, so it's now up to this movie to deliver some satisfying answers and reveal whether all the speculation about these dark warriors was worth it.
