We had been led to believe that tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker would go on sale after tonight's final trailer, but Lucasfilm has now announced that they are available to purchase.

In addition, fans who buy a ticket to the movie in IMAX at AMC Theatres on a Sunday, from December 22 – January 12, will receive an exclusive print from artist Dan Mumford.

But that's not all! If you fancy seeing The Rise of Skywalker just ahead of its general release on December 19, be sure to attend an Opening Night Fan Event or a Star Wars Marathon featuring all nine films from the Skywalker saga. More details can be found here.

Check out the posters below along with some recently released character standees, and let us know if you managed to secure your tickets in the comments.

@MUTO123 -

Every time some idiot says a multi-billion dollar grossing franchise is dead I think about this video

And yes, my city is sold out opening night, probably because one of said nerds probably bought a whole row for them and their friends so I'm especially salty tonight

@regularmovieguy - I had to wait 10 minutes (which isn't that bad considering how awful it was for Endgame)...my friend had to wait in line 30 minutes but we still were able to get tix next to each other.

Will see it, but not excited about it. Only worthwhile things Disney has done with Star Wars so far are Rogue One and Star Wars Rebels

@dracula - looking forward to The Mandalorian. This film... not at all. Not paying to see it. I'll watch a decent camrip in the first day or two. Otherwise, pass.

@GreedoSarducci - Yeah the Mandalorian looks good, still need to wait and see if they pull it off.

@dracula - Star Wars rebel is a mixed bag. Some eps are good others are just filler. Rogue one is a waste of time except for the Vader scenes. I think people just like Rogue 1 because it "fits" more into star wars canon. I honestly like TLJ the most as its more thought provoking, but the action scenes could've been done better.

Should have gotten Drew Struzan to do the posters for the trilogy, his were used for all the originals and prequels

Rey should have her own lightsaber by now. Yellow would have been cool.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - It was rumored that she was supposed to have a "white" lightsaber and it was even drawn in the initial concept art. But JJ chose to use the "blue" because it adds more nostalgia to the fans.

I think it should've been white as she was suppose to be the grey jedi

Just got my tickets for the 6PM Thursday show! Seeing how this will be the end of the Skywalker saga, it should be an event. I-m predicting a $260-300 million opening weekend.

I hope this film reverses the nullification of the ending of ROTJ. Somehow.

There's no question people will go see this movie. But will they see it 7 times and buy merchandise? That's what has Disney biting its nails.

@Battabing - Disney doesn't have all of its eggs in the basket of this one movie. They're at the point where nothing really phases them anymore.

@Battabing - Well, they hit something like $250b in Star Wars merchandising in 2017, a 4.4% increase from the previous year, so they're probably not chewing that hard.
