STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER's Runtime Possibly Revealed And It's The Longest STAR WARS Movie Ever

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tickets went on sale shortly before the final trailer debuted online, and with theaters obviously having to figure out how many viewings they can squeeze into a single day, AMC Theaters may have now revealed the movie's runtime.

Apparently, it will boast a 2 hours, 35 minutes runntime (that's 155 minutes). Chances are that J.J. Abrams is still putting the finishing touches on the movie and that this is subject to change, but probably not by much! This also makes it the longest instalment of the "Skywalker Saga" to date and the lengthiest Star Wars movie of all-time.

Previously, The Last Jedi held that record with 152 minutes. The Force Awakens, meanwhile, came in at 135 minutes. However, with this being the final chapter in a nine-episode Saga, you'd best believe that it's going to need those extra few minutes to (hopefully) end this story is a satisfying way.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been faced with a long list of possible leaks, but excitement remains high and that final trailer definitely seemed to get fans psyched - despite the backlash to some of the decisions made by Rian Johnson in The Last Jedi

Do you think 155 minutes will be enough to deliver a worthy finale?

Too short. Make it 5 hours minimum.

That’s pretty good but 3 hours and 5 minutes would have been better.

@TheUnworthyThor - It prob already is if you include the 20 mins of trailers before the movie & 20 mins of credits afterwards

I’ve read that if Skywalker’s rise lasts more than 4 hours he should consult a physician

there's no overarching story to these films and the only good one they had they wrapped up in Last Jedi so it doesn't need to be over two and a half hours

"despite the backlash to some of the decisions made by Rian Johnson in The Last Jedi."?
That's putting lightly;that statement is an understatement of such Epic proportions as to shame ANY Star Wars movie.
I
I've never been invested in ANY series that had as God-awfully MASSIVE a hurdle to overcome as thE lasT jedI.
Fortunately, The Rise of Skywalker appears to totally ditch much of what johnsoN did and it looks like a visually stunning, satisfying adventure...which I expect no less from JJ.

As I watched the trailer on MNF, all I could think of was god I can't wait for it to be over with. TJL really (Rian Johnson) wiped out any enjoyment out of the series. I will not preorder tickets to see it opening night as I did for the other two films. I will wait it out. Rian Johnson, I will never see anything you ever make Knives Out Pass, your trilogy lol, Pass.
