Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tickets went on sale shortly before the final trailer debuted online, and with theaters obviously having to figure out how many viewings they can squeeze into a single day, AMC Theaters may have now revealed the movie's runtime.
Apparently, it will boast a 2 hours, 35 minutes runntime (that's 155 minutes). Chances are that J.J. Abrams is still putting the finishing touches on the movie and that this is subject to change, but probably not by much! This also makes it the longest instalment of the "Skywalker Saga" to date and the lengthiest Star Wars movie of all-time.
Previously,
The Last Jedi held that record with 152 minutes.
The Force Awakens, meanwhile, came in at 135 minutes. However, with this being the final chapter in a nine-episode Saga, you'd best believe that it's going to need those extra few minutes to (hopefully) end this story is a satisfying way.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been faced with a long list of possible leaks, but excitement remains high and that final trailer definitely seemed to get fans psyched - despite the backlash to some of the decisions made by Rian Johnson in
The Last Jedi.
Do you think 155 minutes will be enough to deliver a worthy finale?
