Check out the embedded video below for a breakdown of the first episode of Droids from 1985! That series features a lot of weird nods to mordern Star Wars fims including characters similar to both Rey and Kylo Ren. Maybe it's a coincidence... OR IS IT? Probably a coincidence.

I have this on DVD. Haven't touched it since I was just a boy. Same with those insultingly-awful Ewoks flicks. Star Wars... what're you... what're you doing, ya [foo foo]s?

As a kid, I was excited to watch this show (and its sister show, EWOKS). So disappointed when I finally watched them.

Apparently, part of the reason the shows sucked so bad was that ABC shot down story ideas that were too deep, or too "STAR WARS-y."

Oddly, DROIDS was the more canon-friendly show, but it fared less successfully than EWOKS.
