The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Terminator: Genisys will feature:
Director: Alan Taylor
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the original T-800
Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor
Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
Jason Clarke as John Connor
J.K. Simmons as Detective O'Brien
Matt Smith as Tim/T-5000
Lee Byung-hun as the T-1000
Courtney B. Vance as Miles Dyson
Dayo Okeniyi as Danny Dyson
Gregory Alan Williams as Detective Harding
Sandrine Holt in an unspecified role
Douglas Smith in an unspecified role
Aaron V. Williamson as young T-800
Nolan Gross as Skynet

looks like a good fun. Still revealing the major plot point in the trailer, tv spots and poster seems like a dumb idea. Also why is Courtney so buff ? He doesn't resemble Biehn at all.

@jerryblake That John's a terminator? But not the real fleshy John. It looks like the terminator uses John's image as bait.

This looks like Terminator might soon officially be rated as a rotten franchise on the official Kyos scale, with 3 out of 5 movies I don't care about. :(

And yeah, I'm kind of kidding, as I will just continue liking the first two without having strong feelings about the rest. Still, this doesn't look appealing to me at all.

With knowing Matt Smith is a terminator and JC is a terminator.....i dont feel like theres anything left to surprise me, God, i wish we had a direct sequel to Salvation. This franchise is ridiculous with all the cast changes in every movie and the plot jumping all over the place, this i worse than XMEN continuity and its just killed this movie for me, and Jai Courtney, YUCK!!!!!
