It's been twenty-five years since James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgment Day graced our silver screens and next year, the T-800 is coming back to theaters in a special 25th anniversary 3D rerelease!

He said he'd be back. 

On August 29, 1997, Skynet first became self aware. On August 29, 2016, a brand new poster for the upcoming 3D rerelease of James Cameron's 1991 masterpiece Terminator 2: Judgment Day was unveiled featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 standing locked-and-loaded. There's no word on an exact release date, but the official T2 Facebook page does tease that it is "Coming to theaters in 2017," so be on the lookout for further details in the next few months or so. The Terminator returns in this explosive action-adventure spectacle. Now he's one of the good guys, sent back in time to protect John Connor, the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future. Sarah Connor, John's mother, a quintessential survivor has been institutionalized for her warning of the nuclear holocaust she knows is inevitable.
