In a brand-new featurette, 20th Century Fox takes viewers behind-the-scenes of The Creator, directed by Gareth Edwards.
"My favorite cinema is very visually driven. It's not like a play, it's like a dream, it's just a pure emotion. This film is a melting pot of movies I grew up loving. It's a Vietnam movie, mixed with robotics and sci-fi," said Edwards.
John David Washington adds, "Gareth has this ability to inject compassion in a sci-fi genre that usually leans on spectacle and danger."
The movie is Edwards' follow-up effort after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which many sci-fi fans consider to be the finest Star Wars movie since Episode VI.
Edwards is a renowned director known for his distinctive visual aesthetic and capacity for thrilling tension. He is a rising star in the sci-fi genre, and has developed a strong fan following around the world that will surely turn out to view the sci-fi thriller in cinemas.
Considering the ongoing discussion regarding artificial intelligence and how it should be managed on a global scale, the debut of Gareth Edwards' film couldn't come at a better moment.
