THE DARK TOWER: You'll Want To Take Aim At These Awesome Funko Pops

Pretty much every movie and TV show has a Funko Pop or two based on it, but with these awesome collectables based on The Dark Tower, you definitely won't be forgetting the face of your father...

The Dark Tower is almost upon us and for fans of Stephen King's work, that's very exciting news indeed. Serving as a sequel of sorts rather than a direct adaptation, it's hoped that the movie will launch both a franchise on the big screen along with a small screen spinoff. We'll just have to wait and see on that, but the first merchandise has been revealed today in the form of some very cool Funko Pops.

As you can see below, they feature Roland Deschain/The Gunslinger (Idris Elba) in two very cool poses along with the villainous Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) who seems to be holding an artefact sure to be familiar to fans of the books. All three of these look pretty cool and will hopefully be the first of many we get based on this world. Again, though, that depends on how successful this one is!

What do you guys think of these Funko Pops for The Dark Tower? Share your thoughts below.

I'm still confused by these Funko things. At £12-£15 a go they seem like a huge waste of money. Can someone explain why people go mad for them?

@CLTMAN29 - Once you Funko Pop... you cannot stop.

I think it is because they are relatively simple in design and small. So they are good to put on bookshelves just to fill the space. Plus basically everything in pop culture has been adapted into the lines so everyone has the chance to get their favourite character.

@CLTMAN29 - I get your point...but aren't ALL collectible toys basically a huge waste of money??? This is about a big a waste of money as a $500 lightsaber...

It all boils down to desire, that's where the value comes from. Just my old fart opinion.
