The Planet of the Apes franchise gets the origin treatment in this 20th Century Fox production from director Rupert Wyatt. The script, written by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, concerns a group of American scientists whose genetic experiments lead to an uprising by a race of intelligent apes that they helped create. James Franco stars, with Freida Pinto and John Lithgow heading up the rest of the cast.




Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Tom Felton, Tyler Labine, and Brian Cox, and is set to be released later this Summer!

this movie look ape-tastic,but i don't think there was anything new apart from the explosion.

i maybe wrong,but i still can't wait.

does anyone know if its been shot in 3d.

nice but not too excited,the 2nd trailer excited me coz it was new,showed new cool stuff,but despite having 3 trailers now they are showing the same old thing again and again,either they want us to discover the cool action stuff on our own or this doesn't have cool action stuff.great effects though.

another thing i will never get is how the apes can overpower humans who has equal intelligence in this case and even more powerful weapons.(tanks,planes,guns,big guns etc)that is what i most want to see,how they will explain that.

i think i will wait and see and if word of mouth is good will see in theater,or just grab the DVD,definitely doesn't create a MUST see perspective.

Indoraptor12, I think that the Apes will learn how to use more sophisticated weapons against the Humans. It's hinted at in this viral video for the movie.

For some reason I can't explain, this movie is the one I am most excited about. maybe it's because I was around when the originals were made and loved them. I really hope it does well, but the CGI (on close ups) looks a little cartoonish to me, not much but just a little. I still want to see this badly bad.
