First I've ever heard of this movie, but the concept seems awesome! I'll be keeping my eye on this. I may actually go to a rare September movie if it doesn't get crushed during the review process.

Not sure that I am too excited for this, but if nothing else is out that weekend, I may catch the matinee

Retro, you've just discovered Hollywood's "secret" formula. Expect the men in black to be showing up at your front door within the hour.

Rehavens, yeah I hear you. There is not a DC movie coming out for at least another year 0_o

Concept is interesting: a mix of cube and hunger games. However, the trailer was almost a parody of every other Summer movie trailer. Time for a new formula.

I've actually read all three of these books and there is virtually no love story or romantic subplot. It's more similar to Lord of the Flies than Twilight.

@@RetroFit - you just showed how little you know as well as how little you read. Shame you don't have such insight into Superhero comics or movies which basically are about people in costumes solving their problems by hitting the same people over and over again while struggling to make things work with a girlfriend. Flippant cynicism works both ways!

I've read all the books. It's more survival horror than teen love story. People actually eat others, there are cannibals. Theres also an arc where the open instantly makes people burn/catch fire due to the sun, that's the second book "Scorch Trials". The series is awesome. Closest young adult book to harry potter for me.

This seems like a escape from some kind of prison movie, mixed with Battle Royal. Look far better than that crap Hunger Games.

I read the comments before the trailer and was expecting a divergent/twilight feel but after watching the trailer I thought it looked way better than those and maybe better than the hunger games as well. It almost felt like a blockbuster version of CUBE which is a great movie. I won't be rushing to the theater to watch this but I'd be down to see it from redbox.

There's no romance in this story, so I don't understand why you would think there is when the trailer hints at nothing like that? Oh wait, it's because you all believe anything labeled "YA" is the same exact shit. Ignorant fools.

Dylan O'Brien is a very good actor. Enjoy his character 'Stiles' on Teen Wolf.

Looks like a near perfect adaptation of the book which was incredible, very similar to lord of the flies than anything else, hardly any romantic subplot
