Makeup FX artist Steve Johnson has been spending his time exhuming old footage from his shop and posting it all online. Like his costumes for (Tim Burton's Superman Lives) and succumbed to CGI (an animatronic Hulk). His most recent contribution to the online community is a video of a practical FX test for Francis Lawrence's 2007 film I Am Legend. Check it out below:

I have read the original, one of my all time favorites and if they would have gone with this it might have helped the movie. The CG they used didn't cut it for me, although the dogs were pretty decent.

Creepy!:)

The movie was ok, but it would have been great to see monstrous and scary vampires as the threat and not "Zombies"!

Something like this would have made it [frick]ing scary!:)

I am Legend, great book. I hope Hollywood makes the movie someday. Oh well I guess I always have the Vincent Price one.

It is a real shame that the version that finally gets the same title as the book has sooooo little to do with the book. Hopefully we can get a remake of the Vincent Price movie some day- we can't call it a true adaptation of the book because people would then compare it to this bullshit.

Omega man was Bette IMO. Slightly cheesy by today's standards, but still better...IMO.
