The journey will continue. It might not necessarily be summarized or completely fulfilled in this next one." He then continues,"The point being, eventually we know that we’re going to end up back at ‘The Planet of the Apes,’ but whether it’s this film or not, I don’t know." The third film in this newly renovated franchise is set to hit theater on July 29, 2016 and according to Serkis it might not be the last. The beautiful thing about the franchise/brand is the fact that it's so elastic that they never have to completely shut the doors. They could do nine films and focus on Ceaser's descendants or they could do one more film, it wouldn't matter.

As they as each film brings something new to the table, I'll see them all!

Actually, having three trilogies would be pretty cool, each focusing on a new generation in Ceaser's bloodline with it all culminating in a (good) remake of the original.

The most encouraging thing mentioned is how all of the movies are directing back into the first movie. I'm really interested in how they will be presenting the evolution of the ape society and their culture that we see in the first one.

@Nubase Taylor would've had to have left already before the whole simian flu thing got started for his presence in this continuity to make any sense.

As long as the quality remains the same, they can keep making them.

This has already been mentioned but I'd also like to hear more references to Jerry Goldsmith's score in the latter movies as they get closer to the or5iginal movie. That's one of it's best and most distinctive features.

If any of them are as good as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, then bring it!

@MexicanSuperman

Wow, that'd actually be pretty cool to see. I think Bryan Cranston would make a great Taylor, but he may end up being a little too old by the time they get to his arc. Whomever it is they'll have some big-ass shoes to fill!

I agree with @MrBlackjack! Loved the first two so one more movie or 12, as long as the films themselves are good I don't mind. Also, Bryan Cranston would be good as anything. If it turned out that he would play every male role in a movie with 5+ males it would be amazing. Hell, I'd like to see him be a female in a movie. The guy is an AMAZING actor who deserves every role ever. Saying he would be good in a role is like saying Pulp Fiction is an amazing and phenomenal movie, really,
