Zachary "Spock" Quinto Talks About STAR TREK 2

Production on J.J Abrams's Star Trek sequel is well underway, and now 'Spock' actor Zachary Quinto has spoken about the movie to E! Online. Nothing too revealing, but hit the jump to take a look.

"It's been really great. We've been shooting for a week and a half, and it's been an incredible return to that world."

No surprise that Quinto was tightlipped on storylines, but he revealed that the cast didn't see the script until just a month before cameras started rolling.

"It was the middle of December and finally I had to be like, 'We need to read the script'. They waited a pretty long time, but that's because they were working on it. There was a writer's strike the first time so they weren't able to let the script evolve. Now it's really changing... On a regular basis."

Speaking about the new additions to the cast (Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Weller and Alice Eve) he said,

"All of them have folded in so beautifully and brought a whole new level of intelligence and sensitivity."

Star Trek 2 is scheduled for a May 17, 2013 release date and stars the returning cast from the first movie, as well as Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

@Scorpion8125 Spock isn't gay. The actor who plays him is. Learn to tell the difference.

(I know, you were joking. Here to tell you it wasn't funny mate.)

He can't act for toffee, his version of Spock was more Spock Spoof than actual Spock. Sheldon from Big Bang Theory would act him off the screen even if he wore a cheap Halloween costume with Spock ears!

He's just another sad fan boy-favourite who's stretching his 15 minutes of fame well past its sell-by date!
