Zoe Saldana on Avatar 2

The star of the upcoming comic-to-film adaption The Losers says what it will take to get her to play the Na'Vi warrior Neytiri again!

Actress Zoe Saldana spent the better part of four years training to play the Na'Vi warrior Neytiri in director James Cameron's Avatar, and, while she would love to return to the character in a sequel, it's not something that she can jump into lightly.

"[James] already knows how I like to approach it. I need at least 6 to 7 months of training and stuff to get into Neytiri again and whatever’s going to happen is going to happen.

"It’s not something that I can just turn on and off. Everything is a learned skill. The same way it took me like 2 to 3 months to channel [my The Losers character] Aisha, you know Neytiri is going to take her time as well. I mean, there are people we are kind of incarnating. It takes a little bit of preparation."

Of course, like the rest of us, Saldana is not really worried about Cameron deciding on a whim to start shooting Avatar 2.

"The good thing that we all know about Jim is - it’s not so good sometimes because we sometimes have to wait like 10 years for it – but by the time he does come around, he gives you something that sort of changes your life or at least touches it in such a way. So I do know that Avatar 2 is going to be just as great as the first one because Jim’s the sh*t."

The Losers opens April 23rd!

First! Whenever i get my roles it usually takes me about 200-300 milliseconds to get into character.... Maybe that's why i haven't gotten a paying role yet? : (

Jim also thinks he's the sh!t. Did anyone see Sigorney Weaver saying that Hurt Locker won Best Picture and Director because it was made by a woman, what a delusional sore loser, Avatar deserved the best visual effects award and that's about it. James Cameron thinks way too highly of himself, he's not even the best director from Canada, that would go to Cronnenberg.

I missed this one in theaters, in and out too quick. All people said was that it was a nice tech demo set to Pocahontas. Will have to rent this one when it comes out.

I am sure elephant will get his chops busted as well. People who post "first" around here are seriously frowned upon.

On the interview, she should have a lot of time to get herself together being it took 14 years to make the first one. Can't imagine the next one being released anytime soon.

She was by far the best performance in the entire film. Not saying much, but still, Saldana was excellent. It would blow if she didn't come back for a sequel.

Avatar was good in itself, a sequel should never be made. All the film had was visual effects and a decent plot... period. The acting was mediocre (except saldana) and there was no character development what so ever. They were barely able to make an entertaining film. The sequel would need so much more than the first and i really don't think they got what it takes. Well they sure didn't prove it in the first anyway. They'd have a better shot at a Titanic sequel LOL.

@Teabags chart - That thin red line looks alot like comicbook movies success in film.. XD

Batman Films, Watchmen, Spiderman, and Ironman are the only ones, so that eliminates the other possibilities for examples..

Also to bad for the posers that Cameron tossed up your boy Nolan as director.. He'll probably get to camerons status once he starts actually trying to get success that ain't comic book material.. And Inception(which I'm anticipating) is not one of them..
