To help build excitement for (or feed off of the excitement from) Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, director Edgar Wright's adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim comic book series by Bryan O'Malley, Adult Swim will air a "love letter" to Scott Pilgrim in animation form called Scott Pilgrim vs. The Animation the night before the release of the movie.

Here's a few seconds of footage from the program, as well as the TV spot promoting the special! Voices are by Michael Cera, Allison Pill, Mae Whitman and Jason Schwartzman.

Scott Pilgrim vs The Animation airs Thursday, August 12th in two parts between 12 and 12:30 am, inside commercial breaks on [adult swim]. It will also be available in full on adultswim.com, and on the [adult swim] and Scott Pilgrim FaceBook pages the day after it airs.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World opens August 13th!
