The stars were out in force for the red carpet premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings tonight, but one familiar face, in particular, really caught MCU fans' attention.
Sir Ben Kingsley was spotted at the event, leading to speculation that he might be reprising the role of Iron Man 3's original/fake Mandarin, Trevor Slattery. Reports from the premiere indicate that this will indeed be the case (though we don't have any direct quotes), but Slattery's return was actually confirmed a few weeks ago!
Though few sites reported on it so as not to ruin the surprise, an image from what is assumed to be the film's final battle recently leaked online, and clearly showed Kingsley standing beside several other villainous characters.
How Slattery will factor into the plot remains to be seen, but he certainly seemed to have his war face on in that image, and may be used for more than just comic relief this time.
We'll keep you updated, and more info may come to light once the first social media reactions are shared online after the premiere, so be sure to keep an eye out.
