New SHANG-CHI & THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS TV Spot SPOILS A Certain Character's Return

Now that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is in theaters, Marvel Studios aren't as concerned about keeping a lid of spoilers, and this latest TV spot features the return of a certain someone!

Though this character's return was all-but  confirmed at the recent red carpet premiere, we're tagging it as a spoiler just in case you haven't had a chance to see the movie yet.

A new TV spot for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now online, spotlighting some new footage and several pull-quotes from the (almost) universally positive reviews. This promo is most notable for its final shot, however, as Marvel Studios is now clearly making no secret of the fact that Sir Ben Kingsley reprises the role of Iron Man III's Trevor Slattery!

Shortly after arriving at Wenwu's palace, Shang-Chi and Katy discover the Scouse actor in a dungeon. Our hero's father brought his impersonator to China with the intention of executing him to set an example, but when he amused his captor by performing a bit of Macbeth, the warlord allowed him to live and serve as a court jester of sorts.

Trevor, along with his adorable little pal Morris, ends up accompanying our heroes to the mystical land of Ta Lo and is pivotal to them gaining entrance. He is responsible for some of the film's biggest laughs, but also armors-up and fights alongside the warriors of Ta Lo in an effort to repel an invasion from Wenwu's forces.

Whether we'll see Mr. Slattery again remains to be seen, but if Shang-Chi returns to Ta Lo in the inevitable sequel, there's no reason to think Trevor and Morris won't be waiting to greet him.
