GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Sneak Peek To Be Shown Before SHAZAM! In IMAX Theaters

As if the glowing reviews weren't enough, Warner Bros. has now given us another reason to check out Shazam! in IMAX theaters - a five-minute sneak peek preview of Godzilla: King of the Monsters...

Fans checking out Shazam! on the big screens of IMAX this weekend will receive an extra treat as Warner Bros. has announced that a special five-minute preview of Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be shown ahead of the upcoming superhero movie. The preview is exclusive to IMAX theaters.

Shazam! is expected to outperform initial box office expectations thanks to positive word of mouth and glowing reviews, so attaching the Godzilla sequel to the movie makes perfect sense for Warner Bros. In addition to making more moviegoers aware of the blockbuster, IMAX presents a wonderful opportunity to fully appreciate the sheer scale of these Titans. What better way to experience these beasts coming to life than on a screen as big as the one IMAX offers?

Unfortunately, what this also means is that we're probably not getting a new trailer as many expected when a reel was rated by the MPAA board recently. It's now clear that the five-minute run time was actually for this sneak peek, so you're going to have to check out Shazam! in IMAX if you want to see it. That said, with still a few weeks to go until Godzilla's release, we can probably expect more TV spots as marketing ramps up.

Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters on May 31. Meanwhile, you can check out Shazam! this weekend when it storms into theaters on April 5.

The only movies I've ever seen in IMAX were TDK Trilogy. I might have to go for Godzilla. This looks like the biggest scaled movie I've ever seen. It has too many wide shots to count.

I think i'll see shazam after all... but not in IMAX even though i'd love to see 5mins of Godzilla... just like Endgame, i will be avoiding all tv spots and trailers from here until the movie itself.

Welp, I was gonna see Pet Sematary this weekend and save Shazam for next weekend when less people are buying tickets, but looks like I'm gonna have to see it THIS weekend now.

Just realized...with how trailers have changed over the years, with sneak peaks, teaser trailers, trailers for trailers, and a minimum of 3 trailers, at this point some marketing exec is gonna come up with the "brilliant" idea to just release the whole movie before another movie and call it a trailer. We got pretty close to that with cloverfield paradox

OT but the Russos have seemingly confirmed that the runtime for Endgame is 3h 1m.

"I think it's three hours and fifty eight seconds," Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com. "We just sped up the credits is what we did," he added with a laugh.
