Director David F. Sandberg was recently announced to helm the much-postponed Shazam movie adaptation. The production has seen its share of controversies, including delays and questions as to whether Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam would feature in the movie or not.
With Johnson now confirmed not to appear, and a release date of April 2019 set, the movie seems to be back on track.
However, Sandberg took to twitter to express his cynicism about fan reaction, stating that no matter what, there will be those who will hate him, and by proxy, the movie.

Shazam tells the story of Billy Batson, young kid who turns into a demigod whenever he utters the word "Shazam!". The hero's main enemy, Black Adam, is getting his own movie with Dwayne Johnson set to star in the role.
