SHAZAM! Funko POP! Figures Give Us A First Look At Darla Dudley And Eugene Choi Suited-Up

Images of some of the upcoming Shazam! movie Funko POP! vinyls have been released online, and in addition to The Big Red Cheese himself, we get a first look at members of the Shazam Family in full costume.

We've known for a while now that members of the Shazam Family (or Marvel Family, if you prefer) would feature in the upcoming movie, but we weren't certain that they'd actually be suiting-up to join Billy Batson in his fight against Dr. Sivana until now.

Funko has released images of three of the POP! tie-in figures that are set to hit shelves very soon, and they give us some idea of how both Darla Dudley (Faithe C. Herman) and Eugene Choi (Ian Chen) will look when they don their superhero costumes in the film.

The new Shazam! trailer should be online later today, so there's a good chance we'll get to see these guys in action along with The Seven Deadly Sins!

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou). Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

I had assumed Shazam was being set up to replace Superman in the DCEU, I guess I was wrong.

@Poochie - Shazam family vs seven deadly enemies of man. Noticed the 7 deadly enemies of man in the trailer right away and there is that crystal ball so I think that also has something to do with Sivanas powers. Maybe he can command them or they will merge with him.

in the same way Spiderverse was "The Avengers but everyone is a Spider-Man" I feel Shazam's third act will act like "the Justice League but everyone is Shazam"

Dammit DC, you're trying to win me over without fixing Superman, and it's sort of working, but .....
When will you fix Superman?!?!

Will SHAZAM replace Superman? of Course Not!
SHAZAM is no Superman altogether, esp when he's just a kid trapped in a superman-like physique.
And crowding this first entry to this whole world is a bit iffy for me, esp since the last 2 big group DC films didnt do very well critically (SS & JL)
I dont think the directors arent good enough either, that's why.

AND the only directors that have successsfully made GROUP SUPERHERO FILMS critically/financially are James Gunn & Russo Brothers, and i DONT need to write down the name of those amazing films.

I just HOPE this will take off successfully, i'll have my fingers crossed for this one. I'm NOT a big fan of my fave superheroes being made comedic, but that said, I accepted GOTG's funny, esp cos its humor for adults. But SHAZAM is kiddish-humor, so that's why I'm very iffy about this one...
But once again, I'm still hoping this will turn out fantastic...

Just chill please, its just my thoughts. That's all...

@Darlene1974 - I agree. And even though Age of Ultron isn’t the best, Whedon definitely deserves his spot among the list of directors that can handle assembles (if it aint for Avengers, its for Firefly and Buffy’s first season)

@MalseMarcel - 100% with u there... Firefly was soooo amazing, I wish they will do Season 2, Im sure they can if they really really want to, and Im sure Joss will def be on board too. And Buffy was soooooooo much fun, and now its iconic.

Instead of gradually building up their superhero franchises, DC/WB has the habit of cramming too much concepts into films that should be just the first piece of a bigger puzzle. I hope that's not the case with Shazam.

I agree with most people here about Warners cramming too much into the first film, hopefully we see the rest of the Shazam family only turn into their alter egos at the very end as a tease for Shazam 2.

@TwistedInk82 - I have a feeling it will be the mid or after credits stinger. I think WB have learnt their lesson after trying to cram too much into BvS and JL.

@TwistedInk82 - Although Age of Ultron only did it with one character, I prefered the approach of that with introducing Vision before the final battle. Atleast Mary Marvel and Marvel Jr. would be cool to see

not really much of a spoiler....the Shazam family have been heavily rumoured from the word go. The actors all posed for a photo there a few weeks ago.

Fingers and toes crossed for a Superman cameo spoiler.......really hope HC stays on and gives us the Superman we crave so badly !

I assumed so when I looked at the cast listing on IMDb. Adam Brody, Michelle Borth, Ross Butler and DJ Cotrana will probably be the adult versions of Grazer’s Freddie, Fulton’s Mary, Chen’s Eugene and Armand’s Pedro respectivily. That only leaves someone has to be the adult version for Herman’s Datla
