Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to make its streaming debut this May, after only arriving in theaters back in March.
Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the DC Comics sequel will be available to stream on the newly-rebranded Max from May 23, following a very disappointing run at the box office.
The movie actually struggled to pass the $100 million mark - worldwide - pretty much guaranteeing that a third film is off the table, and that star Zachary Levi's tenure as the Big Red Cheese has come to an end.
Despite mostly positive first reactions, the reviews for Shazam! Fury of the Gods were nowhere near as glowing as they were for the original (it actually dropped to "rotten" status on Rotten Tomatoes shortly after hitting theatres), and audiences seemed to be just as indifferent to the DC Comics adventure.

Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
