Zachary Levi may not get the opportunity to play Shazam again after Fury of the Gods' disappointing box office performance, but at least he'll get to lead a brand-new Spy Kids franchise!
Netflix (via SFFGazette.com) has released the first teaser trailer for Spy Kids: Armageddon, which will introduce a new family of tech-savvy espionage specialists, this time played by Levi, Gina Rodriguez, Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson.
Robert Rodriguez, who directed all previous entries in the franchise, will also helm this latest instalment.
Armageddon is being promoted as a reboot, but we've heard that it may serve more as more of a "requel" will some ties to the earlier movies.
“When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world,” reads the synopsis.
