Warner Bros. Rumored To Bring AQUAMAN, SHAZAM, And More To This Year's San Diego Comic Con Panel
With Comic-Con a little over a month away, rumours are swirling about what Warner Bros. is bringing to San Diego and it sounds like we'll also be getting reveals for Wonder Woman 1984 and...The Batman?!
It's that time of year again! With this year's San Diego Comic-Con just over a month away, rumours are swirling about what we should expect from the event and while it's been confirmed that Marvel Studios is giving it a miss this time, that simply opens the door to Warner Bros. stealing the show.
Now, a new report claims to shed some light on what we should expect from the event and it definitely sounds like we'll be left with plenty to talk about when it comes to what's next for the DCEU.
So, to check out this rumoured list of reveals - which, believe it or not, includes The Batman - all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button below. Once you've done that, be sure to head to the comments section to let us know which release you're most excited to see receive the spotlight.
The First Aquaman Trailer
Well, this is just common sense! Warner Bros. frequently uses the event to launch new trailers - after all, it's where we got our first look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Justice League! With Aquaman set to hit theaters in December, a sneak peek of some sort is long overdue so it sounds like we should prepare ourselves for that to land next month.
Wonder Woman 1894 Concept Art Reveal
The Wonder Woman sequel is expected to start shooting this month but that doesn't mean we should expect to see a huge amount from the movie at Comic-Con. Instead, it's claimed that some concept art will be shown off putting the spotlight on Kristen Wiig's Cheetah. A reveal like that will definitely get fans talking and we'll hopefully also get to see Diana Prince's updated look for the 1980s!
A Shazam! Teaser Trailer
Shazam! isn't set to be released until next April but Comic-Con is arguably the perfect place to promote it, so you can see why the studio is looking to debut a teaser at the event. While an argument could be made that Warner Bros. would be better off keeping the spotlight on Aquaman, fans are anxious for some sort of official Shazam! reveal and San Diego is the best possible venue for that.
The Batman
I find this a little hard to believe but it's said that we can also expect an appearance from The Batman director Matt Reeves and star Ben Affleck. That and an official release date reveal would go a long way in winning over fans but with the movie seemingly still stuck in development hell, we probably shouldn't get our hopes up. It wouldn't be the first time Affleck has teased the movie there...
An Official Slate
It's about damn time Warner Bros. makes its intentions clear for the DC Films Universe (DC Extended Universe?) and it's said that we'll see an official slate of movies revealed at Comic-Con. What those will be remains to be seen but it would be good for fans and the studio alike to see a list of adaptations with confirmed release dates rather than the current approach of making it up as they go.
