There's a new Sin City TV series in development at Legendary TV, with Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez both in talks to return to the franchise as executive producers. It's currently unclear if they will also co-direct as they did on the first movie.

According to Deadline, the deal would guarantee a first season of the show, contingent on setting it up with a network or streaming platform. There's also a hard-R animated series in the works.

A Sin City series from TWC/Dimension and The Walking Dead's Glen Mazzara was announced back in 2017 with Len Wiseman on board as director, but this appears to be an entirely new project.

There's no word on whether this new show will re-adapt Miller's comic series or tell a completely new story, but the previous incarnation of the series was said to be a "far departure from the films, introducing original characters and timelines within the Sin City universe."
