It Sounds Like The Wall-Crawler Will Swing Into Europe For The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel

There have been rumblings for a while now that Spider-Man will head back to Germany in the sequel but it sounds like he'll be doing more than just that overseas! Could this be how Gwen Stacy appears?

The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is slowly starting to take shape and with pre-production reportedly underway, it's now being reported that shooting will start on May 28th. It's important to note that nothing has been confirmed but it makes sense giving the sequel's 2019 release date.

Even more interesting, though, is the fact that the signs are all pointing to Peter Parker heading overseas. We'd heard that shooting might take place in Germany but the UK is said to be another likely location and that could tell us an awful lot about this movie. After all, audition tapes for Gwen Stacy have shown European actresses trying out for the role so rather than her being a foreign exchange student, it could be that Peter ends up spending a semester abroad as he enters his junior year.

That would give him some space from Aunt May (who knows he's Spider-Man now) and once again puts the
hero in unfamiliar surroundings. Homecoming showed him in Queens as opposed to Manhattan and now it seems the sequel will also allow him to swing through some new locations.

If that is the case, who will be the movie's big bad? Norman Osborn has some history with Europe but Kevin Feige has previously said that Marvel is looking to use villains never shown in movies before.

Spider-man is based on NY, isnt it? I'm ok with it, but I think he should be more around NY.

@xinstituto - I kinda like the idea he isn't yet. It will be good to have a nice comeback in III.

If he's going to europe might be a good time to introduce Morbius the Living Vampire.

@RocknRolla - I always thought Jason Momoa had the look to be Kraven but he's Aquaman now...that and he can't act.

the chameleon must appear as a European spy who Gwen's father must stop.

@Repian - That'd be pretty dope. You can have Kraven in there as well as sort of a bounty hunter, instead of an actual big game safari hunter, but that could be a hobby that he utilizes in his technique for catching criminals.

@Kevwebsz - Yep. It feels like they are planing to make Spiderman a worldwwide superheroe, so the may make sequels like: Spiderman in Rio de Janeiro, then Spiderman in South Africa, or in Singapore.

@Kevwebsz - we had 5 movies of him swinging in NY Marvel is trying to change things up so the character doesn't get stale to the general audience

@auditore - Well I guess we better make sure Batman guards Metropolis instead of Gotham. Wouldn't want things to get stale.

@Nightwing1015 - That would probably land better had Batman not just been in Metropolis in Batman v. Superman and globe hopping with the Justice League.

I highly doubt that he’d spend the entire film overseas, but if Europe is part of the film, that definitely opens the door for Chameleon and/or Kraven to be the villains.

Hmm that's interesting but does it mean he will make new friends in Europe? I'm not fine with it because I love to see more Michelle in the sequel. She's the damn best character in a spiderman movie so far and the perfect MJ #QueenZendayaSlays
