SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING TV Spot Sees Peter Parker Lobbying For A Place In THE AVENGERS

A new TV spot for Spider-Man: Homecoming has been officially released and it features some great footage of the wall-crawler in action along with more Marvel Cinematic Universe connections...

We caught a low-res version of this TV spot last night, but Marvel and Sony have now officially released this new look at Spider-Man: Homecoming for us to enjoy in all its spectacular glory. As you can see, we get more of the conversation between Peter Parker and Tony Stark (whether or not any of that will be left for the movie itself at this point is hard to say) along with some great shots of Spidey in action.

Those include him stopping a bicycle thief (something spotted in set photos last year) and an awkward encounter with two youngsters who don't seem best pleased about the wall-crawler dropping by.

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and almost countless others, Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be released on July 7th, this year.

@chewie - I agree. However, I feel as though, the promise of a sequel is possibly even more exciting. While it's not an origin story, it's still an origin story. He's getting the classic suit, he's learning that with great power comes great responsibility. This will be the best Spider-Man film so far, but a sequel?

A sequel could have great villains (Scorpion, Black Cat, Hobgoblin, a new Doc Ock, Ultimate Mysterio, or Kraven), new locations (Let's see a rooftop chase; We haven't had that in a Spidey movie yet), and even better cameos. Because the sequel will take place after IW, and presumably, after Cap and crew aren't fugitives anymore. So while Homecoming has Spidey and Ironman, Spidey 2 could have Cap and Spider-Man.

@Bakersfield - oh man, any of those villains would be so badass for the sequel! Agree with your whole comment

@Bakersfield - It would be cool if they set up Mysterio like a "Now You See Me" feel. Like some kind of thief that was super popular using magic tricks to make a fool of Spidey and the authorities. That could be cool if handled correctly.

@BinZin - That would definitely be cool. I wanted Ultimate Mysterio, though. A guy who's face is never seen by the audience or Spider-Man, he doesn't get caught in the end, and Spidey doesn't even quite understand the guy.

Someone searching for otherworldly relics. Maybe the Infinity Stones? Mysterio could bring Spider-Man to new locations and areas, we've never seen in a movie.

@Bakersfield - That is a great idea, i think we need a superhero movie where the super hero is bested in some way by someone else.

@BinZin - Yeah.If all the great villains keep dying or being defeated, then there won't be any villains in the MCU.

Not sure if its the audio editing for the trailers or whether it'll be like this in the movie, but some of his lines come across as muffled and difficult to really decipher what he is saying.

@N0rrinRadical - It's great because it's like his actual eye is twitching from the fall. Using tech to explain comic book nuances is a great idea in the MCU--because the MCU is a more plausible, grounded world. (I mean in comparison to, say, Deadpool who's mask just moves magically with his face.)
