Kevin Feige may be forced to send those Marvel snipers over to JB Smoove's place next!

The Curb Your Enthusiasm actor is set to reprise the role of Peter Parker's teacher Julius Dell in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and during a recent interview with The Illuminerdi, he seemingly confirmed that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be back as their respective takes on the webbed wonder for the Sony Pictures threequel.

When asked which villain he was looking forward to seeing in action, Smoove said, "Jamie Foxx coming back, baby. Come on, what’s up, Jamie! That’s my dude right there, I’m excited, I’m very excited about it.” The actor was then asked if he was more excited about Tom Holland's Spidey teaming-up with Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield, and responded, “Tobey Maguire of course, man.”

At this point, Maguire and Garfield's returns are probably the worst kept secret in Hollywood, but we still haven't had official confirmation that the original Spider-Man trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man stars will be swinging into action in the film. There was no sign of either of them in the trailer, and a few leaks (some of which have since proved to be fake) aside, their involvement seems to be something Kevin Feige and co. would rather remain under wraps.

So, Smoove all-but confirming their return here probably won't sit very well with Marvel Studios brass!

In some ways, it's a shame Marvel/Sony weren't able to keep a lid on this because seeing all three Spider-Men together on the big screen with no prior knowledge of their involvement would have been truly spectacular. Unfortunately, it's next to impossible to keep a secret this big hidden from the various trades and online scoopers these days.

I have been wondering what my emotions would be seeing them in the next trailer or in theaters.

Dude's hilarious on Curb. Bummer he got bamboozled here, but hey it's the worst kept secret at this point. The Marvel snipers are really slacking lately

Thing is the return of the former Spideys were already leaked and reported on. Marvel and Sony’s fault for not just outright confirming it and trying to stay secretive. Not many secrets when it comes to Marvel movies. Think the only time they were able to keep a lid on anything was Endgame.

He was kinda led into answering that question. He's a small potatoes MCU actor, so I'm assuming he isn't shaken down by Marvel's Secret Service before he gets interviewed.

If I were in his shoes, not being a prominent MCU actor, and somebody came up and asked me those questions like it was common fact that the Spider-Men were showing up in this movie, I'd suspect that it was already announced.

I doubt he has regular conversations with MCU brass, and I doubt he's checking the Spider-Man No Way Home twitter account everyday to make sure he isn't spilling any beans.

Far worse things have slipped. One of the worst examples that comes to mind is Mark Ruffalo talking about Endgame and saying "wait until you see this next one, everybody dies."

Holland Spidey is low-key becoming the Ezra Flash of the MCU. The most exciting thing about NWH is everyone but the main character lol.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I feel like he just said Maguire in the moment to give an answer.

He might not have even seen Maguire, Garfield, Dafoe, etc on set.

@Kurne - I agree with you there..I felt the same, I think the felt like he had to give an answer to a question he had no idea what it meant lol.

@Kurne - yeah. The lead in was strong. He might not know much about who's in the movie and just assumed all those names were confirmed.

They need to just reveal who's in this movie already because at this rate, half the crew are gonna be waking up at a Michael Jackson and Prince concert by the end of the press run

he didnt confirm shit. he revealed that Electro is back which we all know already, and then they lead him into a question about which previous spider-man he would like Tom Holland team up with. That doesn't actually confirm anything.
