Another Test Reel Featuring An Early Design Of SPIDER-MAN's 'Green Goblin' Emerges

What were they thinking? Here's another video showing the mixture of animatronics and make-up effects which would have brought a far more faithful version of Green Goblin to life in Sam Raimi's 2002 movie, Spider-Man. Check it out!

With any luck, The Amazing Spider-Man sequel (which many fans believe will feature the 'Green Goblin') will take some cues from the incredible work done by 'Amalgamated Dynamics Incorporated' on the iconic villain for the original 2002 Spider-Man movie. While we've already seen a test video featuring their efforts to bring the character to life on the big screen - with an appearance far more faithful to the comic books than the one eventually used in Sam Raimi's movie - this footage offers an even more revealing look at how they went about doing just that. What do you think about this version?

This video shows ADI's talented crew creating the test makeup of Green Goblin for Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN. This hybrid animatronic/makeup made use of a silicone skin animated by servos and the facial performance of Tom Woodruff, Jr. As you know, it was rejected.
