AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Interview Sees Tom Holland Nearly Spoil Marvel's Plans For Miles Morales

Tom Holland really can't keep a secret! Despite not knowing who Miles Morales is, Doctor Strange's Benedict Cumberbatch keeps Holland from spilling top-secret info about Marvel's plans for the character.

While out promoting Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was asked if we'll ever see Miles Morales in the MCU.  "I'm sure down the line, it has to happen...I'd love to work with Miles, I think it would be great.  We've definitely put the building blocks in. There's been a few teases in the first film."

An innocent enough response, however, Doctor Strange's Benedict Cumberbatch then revealed that he had no idea who Miles Morales was and that's when the interview got rather interesting. Cumberbatch jokingly began exclaiming that we haven't yet told Peter Parker's full MCU story and 'we're already asking about alternate versions?'  That's when Holland began explaining that Peter and Miles work together (any Marvel comics reader could tell you that for the bulk of Miles' existence, they actually never cross paths as Peter is dead in the now-defunct Ultimate Universe).  

"They work as a team.  Well, actually in the version that...well, I don't want to talk about this because I might-

It certainly sounded as if Holland was about to discuss "the version" that Marvel Studios is currently working on introducing in the MCU, potentially in the sequel to Homecoming.  Donald Glover had a guest role in the first film as Miles Morales' uncle and explicitly made mention of his nephew.  Kevin Feige has previously stated that Glover role in the film was very intentional.
