Now that the news is out that Welsh actor Rhys Ifans will be staring in director Marc Webb's reboot of the Spider-Man franchise opposite title star Andrew Garfield in the role of Dr. Curt Connors, aka the Lizard, dedicated fans have started to crank out early concept posters for the movie.

Here's an early selection of fan-made art that I ran across while browsing the inter-webs. These are all pretty basic, but I'm sure we'll start seeing more and more sophisticated ones as time goes on...

And speaking of lizards and Spider-Man, how weird is this?!? This is a non-colorized picture of the Red Headed Agama, otherwise known as the "Spider-Man Lizard."

Do you guys think that they are actually going to call it Spider-Man 4? I think they are probably going leave the number out of it and perhaps come up with a subtitle.. It might cause confusion to those who don't know this isn't a continuation of the first three?

@ANight2Embrace: They are almost assuredly not going to call it Spider-Man 4, but that's the "working title" that the movie is under right now.

is this movie a reboot or continuation,if its spider-man 4 excellent,just a rebooted cast.

or is it a reboot that wipes the slate clean & starts a fresh.

Cool find, Brent! You guys notice ALL of them said 4? Yeah, I think all (or most) of them are old work assuming (or hoping, LOL!) the fourth of Raimi's installment would feature the Lizard, since Connor's been around a few times.

Hell yeah to the Lizard! You want real exchange of blows? You watch Spider-Man and forget Superman! LOL!

SM2: in college, dealing with powers
SM Reboot: parker in high school, gaining powers & facing 1st enemy (Lizard)
SM Reboot sequel: PROBABLY THE SAME FRAKIN' THING AS SM2.

The news reads that the guy will play Dr Connors has it been confirmed there will be a actual lizard sighting? i remember the last series also had a Dr Connors but no lizard.. just saying.

people are morons. its been confirmed for months now that they are going back and retelling the high school stuff, obvioulsy rebooting the franchise. i understand that it might be using the working title spiderman 4, but the movie will def not be called spiderman 4, hence, no spiderman 4 posters.

get a clue.

I like the second and the third poster the best.
I highly doubt that it will be known as Spider-man 4. It will most likely be "Spider-man 3-D" or "The Amazing Spider-man", or some sh!t like that.

godzilla ones =stupid, others pretty cool... So far the casting is So So on this project.. Kinda hard to believe were going from Tobey Mcguire and James Franco to Andrew Garfield and Rhys...
