Peter's loved ones got in the crossfire afterwards thanks to Kingpin which then led him donning the non-symbiote black suit to beat down Fisk down and to send the message that if anything happened to Aunt May he would finishing him off. And then he succumbed and agreed with Mary Jane into giving up their marriage to Mephisto in order save May, which served as a reboot of sorts for the next few years.

I doubt Watts will do that. XD

But he should consider using the help of the Skrulls' shapeshifting ability to help Peter probe that Spider-Man and Peter Parker can be at two places at once and viola, problem solved and Mysterio's last will would be nullified.

If he does not go down that road then that means that they have way more different plans for our wall-crawler.

@NinnesMBC - The interesting thing about the frame-up is that the people behind Mysterio essentially shifted all of his crimes onto Spider-man, and Spider-man technically does control all of that technology now. Mysterio was in two places at once, thanks to hologram technology. Edith could make a holographic Spider-man swing over Peter Parker’s head, but if he does it, he’s actually doing more to reinforce the frame up than to disprove it.

Using Skrulls helps a bit, but if the charge is “Spider-man has elaborate means to deceive the public”, then there probably isn’t an easy way to prove that he’s not deceiving people when he shows that he’s not Spider-man... especially because he will be.
