We recently got
our best look yet at Jake Gyllenhaal's villainous(?) Mysterio sporting his full costume, and now a new
Spider-Man: Far From Home promo image provides another glimpse of the character striking a different pose alongside our Friendly Neighborhood Wall-Crawler (Tom Holland).
Mysterio was glimpsed wearing that comic-accurate fishbowl helmet in the first trailer, but all of the recently released promo images have been giving us a proper look at it in live-action, which suggests that the next trailer for the
Homecoming sequel won't hold back on showcasing the costume in full.
In the comics, Quentin Beck's unique helmet has several different functions, including sonar to navigate within his mist cloak and a holographic projector to create 3D illusions. We're not sure if this big-screen take will follow suit, but based on what we saw from Mysterio's brief introduction in the teaser, it's probably a safe bet.
Check out the pic below along with the recently released posters, and let us know what you think in the usual place.
“Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter's plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!”
Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 5.
