With the announcement of a new film on Friday, it was only a matter of time before fans began speculating about which Marvel Cinematic Universe character may crossover into Spidey's world in his next big screen adventure.

Now, while following the likes of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) is no easy task, it sure sounds like Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) has the perfect pick for who would be the best fit next to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his classmates.

ROHAN: These new Spidey films have featured some heavy-hitters from the MCU - Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, Ben Mendelsohn - is there a specific character you’d like to see crossover in the next film, maybe get to share some scenes with?

JACOB: Oh, goodness. I mean, if they could all just somehow show up, that’d be really cool. I can’t pick one specifically, it’s really hard.

I mean, I know that it’d be cool if like Shuri (Letitia Wright) came through because of the high school setting and that they’re all smart teenagers. Other than that, if any hero would pop in, I’d be happy with that.

ROHAN: Shuri would fit in really well with you guys.

JACOB: Yeah, it’d be a good time. Like seriously, another smart teenager, that’ll be unstoppable.

I’d like Spider-Man to stay solo for this one but would love it if he made a guest appearance in the Fantastic Four movie.

Just please let's not get into sad Peter too soon.

My memory of Spidey in the comics as a kid (70s/80s) was that he had a LOT of fun. Sure he was skint and had to come up with ways to pay the bills, but you got the feeling he LOVED being SpiderMan. Okay, occasionally Aunt May'd be threatened or in hospital, or whatever, but those episodes felt few and far between. I feel like Raimi and Webb dived in too quickly to some of the admittedly meatier story lines without fully establishing the good times.

PS serious milking of an interview going on here

Shuri being in some random school in queens to interact with Peter Parker should be at the bottom of the list in stories they're gonna try to develop while they have the property.

Theres so many other stories that should happen before anything like that is put on screen imo lol

Also that Spidey pose on the right dvd cover gives me TASM2 vibes.

Mountains upon Mountains of neon orange Trump excrement upon all you Team-Up HATers.

This could be the last Spidey team up for a decade. After this it's all Spidey and Jared Leto. Shuri could be fun, but:

My Top Ten:
1) Hulk
2) Thing
3) She-Hulk
4) Sue Storm
5) Human Torch
6) Power Pack
7) Punisher
8) Daredevil
9) Iceman/Firestar
10) Kitty Pryde

Runners-up: Reed Richards, Juggernaut, Howard the Duck.
