The Spider-Man fandom is split on just who Felicity Jones is playing in
The Amazing Spider-Man 2. A lot of comic book fans think she'll be playing
Felicia Hardy, also known as The Black Cat. Others think she'll be portraying
Lily Hollister, better known as the Marvel Comics villainess, Menace. Both of these supporting Spider-Man characters wear complicated costumes when adopting their alter ego guise.
Speaking to Collider, here are Jones' first words about wearing a costume in
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (the question remains, whether its the costume for Black Cat, Menace or someone else). Said Jones on having a say on her costume design, "Oh, yeah, totally! Absolutely! It’s a medium that’s very collaborative. Actors and directors work on things together. That’s how I like to work, anyway. I don’t want to be told what to do. I want to share it with someone and work it out together. You know that person better than anyone. That’s my job."
Back in July, Jones was quoted as stating, "It’s all quite shrouded in secrecy, but I’m the Goblin’s girlfriend - I’m in a relationship with him, and his accomplice. I’m on the dark side." Thanks to the first teaser trailer we now know Dan DeHaan's Harry Osborn will be getting the Goblin treatment in Marc Webb's sequel, which clouds whether Jones meant she'll be Harry or Norman's girlfriend. Still, we now know she'll have a costume of sorts in the film.
