SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Trailer Spins 2023 Viewership Record

Sony Pictures shared a new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse yesterday, and it seemed to go over very well with fans of the first movie - even better than we realized, in fact.

Deadline is reporting that the action-packed teaser has set a viewership record.

The latest promo for Miles Morales' second big-screen adventure was not only the highest-viewed trailer for either film, but also as the most-viewed second trailer for any recent Marvel release within a 24-hour period. It's also the most-viewed superhero film teaser of the summer so far.

Given the popularity of its predecessor, this isn't terribly surprising, and if you think "superhero fatigue" is real, just wait until Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters this June!

In case you missed it, you can check out the new trailer below.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Manis catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The confirmed voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, Jorma Taccone, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Brian Tyree Henry.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be with us June 2, 2023

Yeah, i'm more excited for Spider-Verse 2 than anything Marvel has dropping this year outside of GOTG Volume 3. Hope they do an X-Men or Avengers project with a similar style down the line.

@ModHaterSLADE - same here. Until they bring back the team up phase cappers, i think i wont be hyped anymore. So i guess that's until Kang dynasty and secret wars

We just keep making up new records to break. Trailer culture is kind of incredibly exhausting

@The72nd - superlatives are always a fad. Just make it as filtered as possible just to have one. Yes, exhausting.

@The72nd - yeah. Pretty much every trailer breaks some kind of record. Doesn't really feel impressive anymore, even it actually is

Superhero fatigue is real. Spider-Man fatigue? Probably never.

"and if you think "superhero fatigue" is real"

Still think it is. This movie just looks so unique, and based on it's predecessor we know the story will be great too. It sets itself apart from the rest like Ant-Man or Shazam couldn't.

Also, what kind of metric is "recent". Most viewed animated trailer of all time would be much more impressive.

Anyone notice the Support Trans Kids poster in Gwens room.
