Marvel CCO Joe Quesada Says Character Is Key To Marvel's PETER PARKER/SPIDER-MAN

There's been a lot of talk about who will be beneath Spider-Man's mask in Captain America: Civil War and the 2017 reboot, with a very vocal minority demanding that Peter Parker be replaced by Miles Morales (despite the fact that the press release specifically mentioned Peter). When one fan asked Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada on his Tumblr what he thinks is one of the most important things to get this next version of Spider-Man right, he replied: "The trick to making any incarnation of Spider-Man great, whether comics, animation or film is Peter Parker. Get Peter’s character right and the rest falls into place." It's pretty interesting that he specifically names Peter (the person asking the question didn't), don't you think? While there's every chance that Marvel and Sony will look at non-white actors for the role, Miles coming to the big screen is still probably a very long way off. After all, fans have been waiting years to see Peter Parker fighting alongside The Avengers, not a B-List character who has only been around since 2011. What do you think?
