Earlier today, Jared Leto gave us our first behind-the-scenes look at his character in Sony's Morbius The Living Vampire adaptation and now we have word on a potential co-star. It seems the film's plot, which was created by director Daniel Espinosa and screenwriters Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama, follows an FBI agent trying to track down Dr. Michael Morbius.
THR reports its the last major role to be cast in the film and Sony wants Tyrese Gibson to fill it. Rounding out the cast are Matt Smith, Adria Arjona and Jared Harris. Smith portrays the villain, Loxias Crown, while Adria Arjona is the love interest, Martine Bancroft. Harris will play Morbius' mentor.
Production on the film began in London earlier today. There's no word yet on whether Tom Hardy's Venom or Tom Holland's Spider-Man will appear. The film is currently scheduled for release on July 31, 2020.
