Morbius is fast approaching, and with so much intrigue surrounding the Living Vampire's place in the Marvel Multiverse, this is a movie that should be well worth keeping an eye on. Recently, Variety spoke to star Jared Leto about playing the character and he was quick to praise the superhero genre.

"If it wasn’t for Marvel films, I don’t even know if theaters would exist," the actor acknowledged. "It doesn’t seem like there’s room for everyone, and that starts to become a little heartbreaking." While it's too soon to say whether Morbius will be a hit that contributes to saving the theatrical experience, the trade notes that Leto said he hopes to return as the anti-hero in potential sequels.

Asked if he's interested in sharing the screen with Spider-Man, Venom, and other Marvel characters, Leto simply responded, "That’s half the fun." Despite that, the Oscar-winner did admit he still has some catching up to do. "It’s been a busy time. I am going to watch [Venom: Let There Be Carnage]. I’ve been waiting to see it in a theater. The first one was a lot of fun, and Tom was fantastic. He built this role that looks like it was a blast to play."

Of course, Michael Morbius isn't Leto's first comic book movie part. He played The Joker in 2016's Suicide Squad, and later reprised the role in Zack Snyder's Justice League

Asked if he'd be open to returning as the Clown Prince of Crime should Warner Bros. come calling, Leto was surprisingly receptive to the idea. He didn't say much, but teased fans by saying, "Never say never." It's hard to imagine it happening at this stage, but stranger things have happened!

Morbius is set to be released in theaters on April 1.

Him and Tom Hardy both need to just go away.

Why does anyone think he'll be a part of the Sinister 6 or meet Blade if Feige wasn't willing to keep Tom hardy in the MCU. The guy who made millions of dollars and is one of Marvels most popular anti heroes.

Lol I love how he just casually says he is going to watch Venom Let There Be Carnage like that’s something that normal people just do.

At least it means there a likely chance for a venom/morbius crossover for the people clamoring for that

Francis coppola, martin scorsese, others like them, DC fanboys and shill influencers are always hating for this exact reason.

"If it wasn’t for Marvel films, I don’t even know if theaters would exist, It doesn’t seem like there’s room for everyone, and that starts to become a little heartbreaking."

This right here is why Marvel catches so much hate. They've completely dominated the movie theater.

Never say never indeed. Better not to say another word about it.

As for Morbius, I am kinda looking forward to it honestly. Not because of Leto or because it's Sony's Spider-Man Universe, but mostly because the thirst for blood vs the hypocratic oath angle does sound interesting.

The guy’s got chops, for sure, but The Joker was never right for him in my opinion. The script deserves some blame as well, but I just don’t think that he ever “Got It” when it came to The Joker

Leto always seemed minutes away from a sexaul assault allegation coming his way and the fact that one has happened yet even though he has a cult with a harem of girls is shocking. No thanks he can just stay away from Marvel and DC

Jared does have some decent performances in his career, but his unrelenting desire to get weird with his role lately has made him unbearable and his performance as Joker was a match made in hell. Ayer’s writing and direction and Leto’s ego and unnecessary level of method acting. So never say never when it’s probably the word everyone is shouting regards to that iteration of the Joker. The only way I’d like him back and would absolutely love if, is if he returned for five seconds to be turned into mince meat.

Jared, the world is still waiting for an apology for your performance in House of Gucci.
That had to be one of the worst and most ofensive (and I'm just part italian) performances I've ever seen, how Ridley Scott was ok with that, we'll never know.
