Morbius is set to hit theaters on April 1 (one day earlier in The UK), and Sony Pictures will soon begin to ramp up promotion for the Spider-Man spinoff as we draw closer to its release. We should get a final trailer at some point over the next few weeks, but for now, we have a new motion poster focusing on Doctor Michael Morbius' transformation into a Living Vampire.
The short video also gives us a little tease of the movie's score, and it sounds like there's a definite Spidey influence there!
Fans haven't been particularly hyped about Morbius (many feel it'll be closer in quality to the Venom movies than No Way Home), but a lot of people are curious to see how the movie will connect to the wider MCU (well, SPUMC), and Vulture's (Michael Keaton) involvement is certainly intriguing.
Check out the motion poster below along with some officially released fan-made efforts.
"One of Marvel's most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil - or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?"
The cast of Morbius also includes Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal,Tyrese Gibson, and Michael Keaton. The movie will arrive exclusively in theaters on January 28, 2022.
