New Poster For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Pays Homage To A Classic Comic Book Cover

Sony have released a new promo poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it pays homage (though not particularly well as it recycles a lot of old images, apart from one of Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn) to John Romita Sr.'s classic issue #121 "Turning Point" cover. Check it out!

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

This looks like god-awful. Official poster? It is reminiscent of something I did in my 1st year in graphic design.

I came here expecting a poster similar to 'The Night Gwen Stacy Died' - given we've seen Goblin holding Gwen in the trailer so the scenes are already their... but this just looks terrible

Lost interest in Spiderman after the 3rd original movie, which wasn't great. Liked the reboot, but didn't think it was anything special. I'll watch this when it hits HBO, unless my son wants to go see it.
