SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Features Another Big MCU Cameo - Here’s What Happens (Spoilers)

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a film that boasts a lot of big surprises, but there's one cameo we're confident everyone is going to be talking about for weeks to come. Find out exactly what happens here!

Earlier this month, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige used the Spider-Man: No Way Home press junket as an opportunity to confirm that should Daredevil debut in the MCU, he'll be played by Charlie Cox. The actor starred as the Man Without Fear to great acclaim in Marvel Television's Netflix series, so this decision was fully embraced by fans (especially those who campaigned to #SaveDaredevil).

Did you think the timing of Feige's comments were coincidental? Guess again. As the rumors suggested, Cox returns as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home for one memorable scene.

Revealed as Peter Parker's lawyer, Matt explains to the teenager that while he's no longer facing criminal charges, the court of public opinion awaits. This takes place in May and Peter's apartment, and also features Matt explaining to Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan that he could be facing big problems for taking tech from Stark Industries in the midst of Damage Control's investigations. The fun thing about that, of course, is that Favreau played Foggy Nelson in 2003's Daredevil film.

When a Mysterio supporter throws a brick through the window, Matt catches it before Peter can react. The web-slinger wonders aloud how his blind lawyer managed such a feat and he issues a perfect response: "I'm a very good lawyer." That's it for Matt, unfortunately, and we don't ever get to see him suit up.

However, now he's officially part of the MCU, you have to believe Daredevil will return sooner rather than later!

The smile on my face when I saw this scene was massive. Even though I unfortunately saw the leak image a few weeks ago, it didn't change at all for me.

Also, binge watching DD again this week (On season 3) I am SO damn pumped.

God, this movie was phenomenal.

@Menks123 - Same exact for me. I was ear-to-ear. I thought right after "I don't care if he doesn't show up later, that was perfect." Just a perfect cameo.

And yes, phenomenal is an apt description. I still feel absolutely gut-punched by all the emotions in the movie. My god, what a movie.

@JstaKIDfrmBKLYN - Completely unrelated, but I need a Funko Pop of Ned in the Cloak of Levitation, like, pronto.

@JstaKIDfrmBKLYN - I was not expecting to get as emotional as I did. What a damn good job by Watts and the writers.

Like, jesus...we got all that time with the trio and it was just amazing.

@Menks123 - I'm legit sad that they're not a trio anymore. They have insane chemistry. If they make more movies, I'm really curious how they're gonna bring them back together.

I actually thought that he would join the final fight as Daredevil. I also thought that he could be the invisible force that punched Lizard.

But oh well, at least he is already introduced to the MCU and we will definitely see more of him, probably in She Hulk like many have already said. Maybe he does another quick cameo in Hawkeye's finale.

Great scene in a Great movie! Wonder where Matt will cameo next. She-Hulk seems the most likely for now; who knows they might announce something DD related now that its very much official!

Just got out of it. Man, what an experience. It doesn't matter what your taste in Spider-man is. You have to see this movie. Best performances were Holland and Dafoe IMO. Sets up a great future that I can't wait to see. Hats off to Jon Watts. I don't know how you pulled this off, but F4 is in great hands.

@MCUKnight11 -

:spoilers:

I thought Tom did marvelous and so did Andrew, but I was kinda let down by the dialog and acting of most of the older cast members. For me there was a lot of the subtlety missing from these performances they nailed in their original appearances. Certain scenes, if I'm being fair and critical like I would with any movie, felt very campy to me.

I like the idea that in the MCU May ended up being Tom's Ben, that was a clever and surprising twist. But I kinda hated how they brought Andrew and Tobey in. Felt super anticlimactic, like if THAT was their reveal, I would have been fine spoiling it in a trailer lol it wasn't epic at all.

Idk, I have just as many tonal nit picks with this as I did with Far From Home, but I had way more fun with this adventure, and there is just something special hearing Tobeys voice coming out of a Spiderman suit.

Honestly for me the only time I got choked up was when Andrew saved MJ and asked if she was OK and started crying because of Gwen, that hit me harder than anything else. I didn't get choked up with May because we really barely knew this May, she was kinda cool and likeable, but she wasn't like THE Aunt May... idk.

It was a great movie and I'm excited for the future of Spiderman, but I wasn't blown away by this movie.

@MCUKnight11 - screw the haters due to Far From Home. Loved this movie and really liked Homecoming. Far From Home isn’t even bad. F4 is in good hands

@MCUKnight11 - Hands down. If there was any movie to bring Spidey fans together, it's this one.
It also gets me stoked for Tom's future!

@ElricReturns - "I like the idea that in the MCU May ended up being Tom's Ben"

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I've hated that since the leaks.

Imagine having Spider-man's origin moment at the end of the trilogy.
The line "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility" is why Spider-Man becomes a superhero.
We don't need Aunt May to be the MCU's Uncle Ben. Uncle Ben was the MCU's Uncle Ben, we just didn't see it. They skipped the origin because we'd already seen it twice in the last 10 years. It doesn't mean it didn't happen. Know how I know it happened? Because he was already a superhero! And he even says (in Civil War):

"Look, when you can do the things that I can, but you don't and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you."

That's Peter reiterating the lesson he learnt during his unseen origin of "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility". Whether Uncle Ben said it or he came to the conclusion on his own, he has already had this origin moment.

Why on any Earth would this origin moment be at the tail-end of the trilogy?! Dumb AF.

One of the best Spider-Man movies for sure.

I was so in awe that this actually happened for 2 reasons. The first is obviously that I've wanted to see these characters together since Daredevil's first season. And two, because I really never thought it would happen.

Daredevil is such an adult show that I never thought kid-friendly Tom Holland Spider-Man would ever meet him. But here we are....

And I guess they also said 'shit' twice in this film so there's that.
