When we last left off:

The Goblin King returns to his throne room, and will look down and discover…. A rose. No, he hasn't won The Bachelor...That's right, next time I want to bring back the Rose! In the vein of classic Spiderman mysteries regarding the identity of Hobgoblin, the Jackal, and the original rose, I’m doing a similar running mystery storyline going on in the background of my next arc, complete with the hobgoblin style twists, tricks, and red herrings.

That time is now this time.

Amazing Spiderman Arc 13: KISS FROM A ROSE

The Goblin Nation, led by Roderick Kingsley and his second in command Phil Ulrich has used guerrilla tactics, a group of rainbow colored multiple powered goblin clones, and infiltration to overtake the entire criminal underworld of New York City in the aftermath of ManiacHatten! Kingsley recalls how far he's come from the beginning of his career as the Hobgoblin and all the people who've crossed him on his rise to the top. He decides that now, as he's finally the kingpin of New York, he can order the assassinations of all his enemies. After a few of these, Spiderman will get involved to find and protect the rest from death, including Wilson Fisk, who has recently returned to the city after being in hiding overseas since back when Black Cat was still a crime lord. He's returned to retake his city, only to find it overrun by Goblin Nation. Anyway, the Spider family has to protect him from the goblin’s revenge. Peter teaches May some lessons along the way related to this.

After this story is finished, The Parker family is briefly called away by the San Francisco city government to deal with sightings of the lizard in the sewers(been there since clone conspiracy) May and Peter have already been in the sewers, but this is MJ’s first journey into hunting sewer monsters. They discover the entire mutated Conner’s family living in the sewers as a happy lizard monster family where Conner’s has actually retained his human intelligence, but his family can only be kept alive and safe from the carrion virus through being turned into unintelligent savage lizard monsters, which are the ones attracting attention by venturing to the surface and attacking people. Peter tries to help them but they move deeper into the depths of the Earth and are lost. Meanwhile in New York, Kingsley has been plotting revenge on the Parker family, when he finally learns the truth about the mystery rose he found. It was a sign that a new Rose is in town, first revealed when the rival sabatagues one of his drug operations with a gang of hired thugs. Roderick realizes that the Rose got into his throne room in his secret base to plant the Rose, and begins to become paranoid someone around him is plotting to take his seat. Perhaps one of the goblin clones has become too smart? Maybe it's Ulrich? He never liked being second fiddle.

Peter will return to New York and to Parker Industries, where Doc Ock and Anna Maria have determined a rare flower that could be used to cure Morbius is in the Savage Land. Morbius is sent off by Peter to get the Slingers to help him get there. Doc Ock and Anna Maria have another announcement, and we flash back to him proposing to her while the Parker Family was in San Fancisco. Peter congratulates them, and then has to leave for a bit to deal with a bank robbery nearby. He discovers it's Goblin Nation, who are then attacked by mercenaries working for The Rose, who end up causing more destruction than the robbery would have in the battle. Goblin King himself arrives to send a message, and the Rose, dressed in the classic white suit and purple mask with glasses, reveals a personal grudge against Kingsley before disapearing.

Peter will later go to one of his Spiderman based charity events, referencing how he doesn't drink partly due to that time he accidently had spiked punch before a fight with the second Hobgoblin(this really happened in the comics)

He will wonder if The Rose could be Jason Mccindale, the second Hobgoblin that’s been presumed dead at the hands of Kingsley. He’ll go investigate by meeting with Doctor Strange and tracking down the demon formerly known as Demogoblin in hell( he decides to leave the family at home for this one because… Hell) to see if he, who had once been merged with Mccindale, had brought him back to life, but apparently he hasn't.

The gang war between The Rose and Goblin Nation will intensify, Wilson Fisk will use his reputation to convince other gangs to back The Rose. The FBI will offer assistance to The Parker Family as they want to bring an end to the constant gang violence that's been going on since Scorpion first unseated Black Cat. The FBI believe Rose is either very wealthy or financed by someone who is. Spiderman considers the possibility Kingpin just payed someone to be The Rose and the Rose’s story is false.

The Parker family, with some help from Daredevil  track down Fisk to learn the truth. He claims he has no idea who Rose is, he's just using him to regain his position, before in his usual arrogance explaining that they're trespassing and there's no evidence he's done anything wrong. They then reveal the FBI got him for tax evasion. Kingpin is arrested.

Kingsley tests his Osborn clones to make sure none of them have become smart enough to rebel. He decides, finding nothing, to go after all the people he previously tried and failed to kill at the beginning of this arc, figuring one of the several dozen people will probably be The Rose, so he’ll kill all of them. The Parker family prevents this, taking down numerous Osborn clones sent on the attack. A squad of them, led by Phil Ulrich is sent after Harry and little Normie Osborn, who have both crossed Roderick over the years. The Parker family heads to their home, and we get to see how they've been slowly recovering from the massive hit Alchemex took at the hands of Goblin Nation, which nearly destroyed the company and caused thousands of people to be laid off. The Rose appears out of nowhere, and with superhuman strength beats the clones and Ulrich in a cool fight scene, is prevented by Spiderman from killing him, and has his mask ripped off in front of his wife and child to reveal Harry Osborn, who heads after Kingsley. Parker family and FBI head after him, they're led to a Goblin Nation base, where Harry Osborn, increasingly driven deranged and on goblin serum, has vowed to destroy the goblin name completly. Harry now has nothing left to lose as everyone has now seen him as he really is, and once the police find him he’ll never see his family again, so he's going after Kiingsley directly, telling him that accross the city, his mercenaries are dismantling the goblin nation. The Parker family is able to tear the villains apart from each other. The authorities take them away. Peter wonders if Harry is really The Rose, as he seemed far too crazy to have done all the planning nessasary. Harry admits to everything however, claiming he couldn’t allow what his father created to hurt anyone else and demanding that he be allowed access to Kingsley and Ulrich so that he can kill them and end this. The remnants of the Osborn clones are taken away to a remote facility to be studied. Ulrich and Kingsley are both placed in a SHIELD prison.

The true Rose watches Harry’s confession on screen and shed’s a tear before removing her mask to reveal Liz Allen. Her husband wasn't the Rose, he was only covering for her. She burns the costume, confident that with the Goblin Nation dismantled, she’ll never have to use it again.

Next, The Slingers arc 8: World Tour

Part one: Strangers in a Savage Land

The Slingers will be dealing with the Goblin Nation, preventing some assassination attempts and robberies. They’ll then be called by Peter to help Morbius.

Morbius and the Sligers go to the savage land as passengers in a small cargo plane heading to a destination further north that was the only thing Parker industries could pay for, to find the ingredients nessasary for his cure. They end up encountering teenage daughter of Kraven, Ana Kravinoff, who has built a recreational hunting lodge for rich supervillains there. Her current visitors are stereotypical Nazi Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker and his kids. After a brief battle the hunting lodge is destroyed, and Ana, having no longer felt any ill will towards Spider people before after Sinister 666, decides to seek vengeance against them all for destroying what she built for herself in the Savage land. The team escapes on her own stolen jet however, leaving her stranded. Morbius cures himself of his vampirism, becoming human once more… at least for now, who knows whether or not it will work forever, or if it will have any strange side effects.

Part 2: Slinger War

The Slingers return to New York, where South American crime lord Black Tarantula has arrived to steal some technology from Parker industries he feels will aid him in his criminal activities in South America. However, he's being tracked by a team of heroes from Las Vegas, a location he stopped at on the way.  This team, The Original Slingers!

Prodigy
Ricochet
Hornet

And Dusk!

The two Slingers will unite to track down Black Tarantula. Black Tarantula and his gang will steal some nano bots from Parker industries(something Morbius built to go into his bloodstream, but is now being redesigned on the hopes it can eventually be used to cure diseases by attacking them at a microscopic level. He  manages to steal it despite the two Slinger groups united, and brings it to ALISTAIR SMYTHE!!!!

Alistair Smythe is in fact alive after the events of Dead No More. He escaped to South America and has been working under the payroll of Black Tarantula, building him weapons and operating on any of his men that are injured in shoot outs. He's also been given a steady stream of rival gangsters and homeless people to experiment on by Black Tarantula. He's been perfecting creating human spider slayers. With the nanotechnology created by Morbius however, he’ll be able to transform anyone into a Slayer in seconds. He begins reprogramming them, and at the Slingers base they argue about how Ben Reilly's actions brought Smythe back to life. Rielly however regrets nothing. His goal is to prevent death. That's why he did what he did, that's why he's with the Slingers. They all follow Smythe and Black Tarantula to an airport in Texas where the original Slingers are all transformed by Smythe into THE SLAYERS! The Slayers use their new abilities and programmed knowledge on spider heroes weaknesses to beat the Slingers into submission. Everyone is transformed into Slayers by Smythe except Sarah Stacy and Ben Rielly, who manage to escape. The two will follow Black Tarantula and Smythe across countries to Argentina and to the fictional city of El Ray.

Every criminal who has ever tried to escape authorities by crossing the border has eventually found their way here. A city ruled by Black Tarantula, where the only law is the law of the only the strong survive. The economy is based on robbery, and in elections, only one canidate survives. You want something done, you do it yourself, or you pay someone to do it, but be careful not to turn your back on them, because now they know you've got money. If you die, your funeral doubles as a black market organ sale. The only thing that keeps this society functional is respect and guns. It's not all bad though, you don't anger anyone and you can find a secluded spot to retire.  You have enough of a rep, and you've earned enough respect to be allowed to age and die in peace. You need a job, just ask your local crime lord or go rob someone, but make sure anyone connected is dead so no one tries to avenge them. There is crime insurance, which allows you to do whatever you want without repercussion if you pay Black Tarantula a 50 percent cut. Alistair Smythe has a lab here where he does his human experiments. Every day is a Quinten Tarentino movie. It's like the Wild West. But, if you pay your crime insurance to Black Tarantula, you’ll be protected, and living in this city means no police can get you.

Ben works on a way to destroy the nanobots. They will be able to save their friends, Ben will battle the man he brought back, his very own Frankenstein monster, but the original slingers, having been experimented and altered even more by Smythe, will remain Slayers. The Slingers are given an ultimatum by Black Tarantula, who has grown to see the Slingers as equal to him, on par with his old enemy Spiderman. They have earned respect, and by the rules of El Ray, instead of being killed, they will be given an option.  Leave El Ray or die, and Smythe either way keeps his new robo slaves for use later. So, while the new slingers have managed to escape alive, this mission has been a total loss. Sarah is a bit traumatized by having her only friends turned into cyborgs designed to kill her. Rielly has to deal with the fact Smythe is going to keep killing people, and has also threatened to kill him for his actions in Dead No More/ Clone conspiracy, but not do so until he's made sure there are many deaths on his hands. The original Slingers are now tools of Smythe. Several Slingers were temporarily killer cyborgs. So, things are bad.

Last article we got a crossover between Venom, Spiderman, and Slingers. Next, we’ll be getting crossover between Slingers and Spiderman with Silver and Black, a book about Black Cat and Silver Sable’s bounty hunter service.

government. So far, no one has been able to capture him due to his living in El Ray, a location no law enforcement except The Slingers have ever left alive. Meanwhile, Peter Parker is currently at Parker Industries, dealing with JJ Jameson, who has been waiting outside to be there when Doc Ock messes up and returns to being evil. Peter tries to get him to leave, not getting why he's doing this same dance again after having saved Peter’s life during the Carnage thing. Jameson claims that he knows Peter isn't a villain like Doc Ock, but he's not a hero either. He's therefore, a menace. Peter is currently also dealing with his best friend Harry Osborn still going crazy, despite all his efforts to help him throughout my run. So Jameson’s words hit him suprisingly hard. Everything is going great in Peter’s life, Doc Ock's decision to unite all the Spider heroes under Parker industries as a way to fund the companies research through charity has worked great, the city loves Spiderman, but the people around Peter’s lives are getting ruined. Jameson is wondering whether he's too hard on Peter, who he still sees as a son to him, but a estranged son he strongly disapproves of. He returns home at the end of the day, only to be kidnapped by new original villain: THE HOUND!

Hound ties Jameson up, and claiming that they're on the same side, reveals his origin to Jameson. His name before he became who he is now was  Rex Barker,  formerly was an unassuming family man who had the bad luck to cross with Black Cat during her most ruthless kingpin period. He lost his family in a crossfire between Spiderman and Black Cat's gang and made an anti-Black Cat battlesuit since he doesn't care Black Cat reformed, because it won't bring his family back, so he wants to make Black Cat suffer. And also Spider-Man, because he dared to give Black Cat a second chance she doesn't deserve. Jameson promises to record his story, and that he doesn't need to hurt them, the press will do enough(he's trying to protect Peter) Hound promises he will kill them both, treating Jameson like a friend that's on the same side as him. He then leaves, jokingly/psychotically telling Jameson he’ll kill him if he doesn't do the story. Jameson calls Peter to both warn about the hound and berate him about Black Cat. He then makes the decision that he's not going to be forced into doing something by a masked maniac, and despite Peter’s protests, Jameson refuses to give in, and doesn't do the story. He does end his phone call with a serious of strong and worded opinions on Peter's actions. Peter now is going to have to protect Jameson because of his stubbornness.

What follows will be a game of cat and mouse, or more accurately cat and dog, as The Hound will begin a deeply personal one man war as he attempts to kill Black Cat, her friends, and any Spider based hero, as they follow the people he hates. We will learn the Hound was in therapy before his family died, as he already had psychotic delusions of grandeur. In fact, he was obsessed with the idea he would be a hero if not for his family. No that they're gone, he's leading what he believes to be a one man crusade, attacking Parker Industries charity events, making an attempt on Jameson’s life. Things get worse and worse as the stakes get higher and somehow, no one is able to capture Rex. The public begins to turn against Peter. Black Cat is able to find out the truth from meeting with the the repost and looking back to the death of The Hound’s family. Rex was so unfulfilled with his mundane life of a office worker and family man that he deliberately led his wife and kids to their deaths to get an excuse to become a "superhero" since all the coolest superheroes have tragically lost their loved ones as part of their backstories.

JJ Jameson will lose his job as its revealed he hid a story and now has no credibility.

Black Cat will deal with The Hound’s obsession with becoming her arch enemy, because he couldn't become a hero, so he's going to be her number one villain. To do so, he actually got the same bad luck powers as her from a back alley mad scientist. After JJ Jameson is shot taking a bullet for Peter(but survives, just in a coma) She decides to challenge her arch enemy to a one on one fight where they both match their powers, giving both terrible luck, resulting in Black Cat having to defeat her foe by pushing both of them into a moving car. They both survive, and while he's taken away, she ends up in the hospital, the same hospital Peter is at giving a blood transfusion to save Jameson's life.

Peter tells Black Cat he’s sorry and feels terrible about everything, and she gives him advice. They both make mistakes, but not everything is their fault. This time specifically, it wasn't their fault. He was already crazy, and if it hadn't been them, it would have been Thor or The X-men. Meanwhile, Jameson awakens with Spider Powers.

Next: Amazing Spiderman Arc 15:

THE WEDDING

As the Slingers head to El Rey with Silver Sable, Peter deals with a very different problem. A very pissed of JJ Jameson demanding to know why he has spider powers. Peter promises him it was a last resort to save his life and at this point the fantastic four might be able to cure him. He takes Jameson over, then, on the way home, encounters an alternate version of himself who is an agent of HYDRA. The Parker family must defeat his HYDRA counterpart (https://nathanseals.deviantart.com/art/Spider-Man-Agent-of-Hydra-Character-Reference-639574950) and the villainous Spidermen he's pulled from the multiverse to assist him.

Dormammuverse Spider-Man (
The previously mentioned leader of the group:
The Slingers, The Parker Family, Doc Ock himself, and Morbius(who has discovered that the formula created is repressing the bat genes in them, but if heever forgets to take another dose within a certain time period, he will become a for more dangerous monster than ever before. For now though, he's able to manufacture the formula and has remained human), must work together to protect Anna Maria at all costs. Our villains have amassed Doc Ock’s old weapons, various bombs, lasers,  killer octobots, and vehicles to aid them. Lady Octopus wants to tempt Doc Ock back to villainy, but he's having none of it. But there are doubts. He’s the superior Octopus, but is he worthy of Anna Maria? He was a monster. He built all of this, including the sinister six. Can he stay a hero? Is he a hero? Does anything he does now matter after all he did before? No, he had a second chance. This is it. He can be better now. He can be a good man. The villains are beaten. Ana, a character who's lately been looking for meaning in her life beyond what she was trained to do, briefly notices how happy Doc Ock is now with Ana before being carted away by SHIELD.

Bye everyone!
