Like most of you, I’d be much happier with an Incredible Hulk style reboot that would continue on from the past three movies but with a new cast and director. However, that’s not going to happen. Instead we’re going back to high school for what many fans are worried will be an Ultimate Spider-Man movie. (although I’m hoping it will take more of an influence from Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s early run) I’ve been a Spider-Man fan for as long as I can remember so I’m hoping and praying that this will end up being a good movie and more importantly we’ll have a great actor in the title role.
After adding a small poll in my recent article about Aaron Johnson and Anton Yelchin both being considered for the part, I was shocked to see that there was over 1000 votes! So, I thought it was about time that you guys had a say about who you want to play the web slinging superhero!
Below are the actors who have either been rumoured to be in the running or have expressed a great amount of interest in the role. Some are good (Logan Lerman), some are bad (Zac Efron), while others are just plain ugly (Robert Pattison) but all have them have a chance of swinging their way onto the big screen as Spider-Man in 2012! If you have someone else you’d like to see play Peter Parker, just vote for ‘Other’, name them in the comments section and they’ll be counted when the results are announced in three days time on June 17.
