Spider-Man Reboot To Be 'Astonishing' In 3D?

Spider-Man Reboot To Be 'Astonishing' In 3D?

As many of us have theorized, the reboot looks like it will not be titled plainly Spider-Man like the original films!

Again, as with some of my other news, I cant list a source, but this is pretty reliable information...

I have been given word from a source inside Sony that tells me Sony refers to the Spider-Man reboot under two names: 'Spider-Man 3-D' and 'The Astonishing Spider-Man'.

'The Astonishing Spider-Man' sounds like it could be pretty cool, and sounds cool as in 'The Astonishing Spider-Man in astonishing 3-D!'.

Many titles had been thrown around, usually being 'The Amazing Spider-Man', 'The Spectacular Spider-Man', 'The Sensational Spider-Man' and 'Ultimate Spider-Man'. For me, I have never heard 'The Astonishing Spider-Man' suggested. I think this is really clever and I am totally cool with that as the title.

Also, take this with a grain of salt but Sony may announce the FULL supporting cast at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 24th, 2010, with Elena Satine rumored to make an appearance. Watch out for more details on that...

Spider-Man 3D would be an awful title. The ________ Spider-Man is the way to go.

NOOOOOO!!!! They have to save the Astonishing title for the Ant-Man movie. lol

I remember DCMF was coming up with a lot of ideas for avengers related titles and one of them was:
Ant Man: The Astonishing Avenger

I like that idea. Sony just needs to call it "The Amazing Spiderman", which is the obvious title that most fans want anyways

To keep them in alphabetical order, I would name the films:

Amazing Spider-Man
Spectacular Spider-Man
Web of Spider-Man

I hope everyone knows that this is being SHOT in 3-D and Marc Webb is getting help from James Cameron. So, sounds good to me. As for the title, I would have preferred "amazing" rather than "Astonishing" ; but its fine with me. This reboot is starting to look good.

Hey bud! Have they figured out who could be Gwen yet? I'm starting a movement for Elisabeth Harnois to get the role.

I'm surprised they're even coming to Comic-Con. I doubt there would be that much for them to say as they should still be hard at work. But has there been any whispers on who might be Gwen?

It should not be called Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel's Spidey movie eventually should be Amazing.

I've heard some talk that Marvel Studios is heavily involved with the reboot, so it might not even matter if Marvel gets ths the rights back.

(Then again, that might just be people's assumptions based on the fact that all the press releases for this film have specifically been sent out as being "jointly announced today by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios.")

Face it, the only reason this film will be 'astonishing' is because they FINALLY got rid of Tobey 'Dork' McGuire and Kirsten 'PLAIN Jane' Dunst!

"Astonishing Spider-man" just doesn't sound very good. The X-men are Astonishing. Spider-man is Amazing and Spectacular if you're doing adjectives.

There is no need for it being in 3D i have only a small amount of hope on the film, i cant see andrew garfield portraying spiderman my first reason being he's to old hes 26!! Secondly i cant get my head around him in the suit i mean i remember him is "sugar rush" for all my american friends "Sugar rush" was a few episode english series about 2 friends (both girls) they fall in love and then one of them falls for another girl , so forme seeing him being in a tv program about lesbians to be spider man isnt really right for me, sorry to be judgement but thats my beef with him !
