Well, what an afternoon this is turning out to be!
Hot on the heels of those other big announcements, Insomniac Games has just dropped the new trailer for Spider-Man 2! In it, we get to see Peter Parker and Miles Morales fighting side-by-side, with the former showing off some spectacular new suit abilities (he has the extra Iron Spider legs now).
While this is happening, a voiceover plays that is quite clearly Kraven the Hunter. He's on the hunt, and it seems New York City's two Spider-Men are going to be his next target.
In a post on the PlayStation.Blog, Ryan Schneider, Head of Franchise Strategy & Studio Relations, Insomniac Games, says: "Just as in our previous Spider-Man games, we not only want to tell a great Super Hero story, but also deliver a compelling human story, one full of heart and humor that dives deep into the people behind the mask."
Oh, and yes, that is Venom at the end of the trailer, and Schneider goes on to reveal, "We’re so happy to announce that Tony Todd (of Candyman fame) will be voicing the symbiote-fueled Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We’re also delighted to welcome back Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter, who will reprise their roles as Peter and Miles respectively."
Is that Eddie Brock in the suit or Harry Osborn? We're going to have to wait and see for now...
