Surely Raimi's about ready to unleash The Lizard in New York or else... what would be the point of establishing a character through three features only to have him sit on the side lines while a Tommy Lee lookalike/Pattinson wannabe gives Tap Dancin' Peter Pan a run for his money in the Gwen Stacey 500. Judging by the monumental amount of methane deployed in his last cerebral flatus, it wouldn't be much of a stretch however, i prefer giving him the benefit of the doubt since he's two for three in my book.
Now, the Lizard on his own isn't that deep of a character and would prove insufficient for a full feature film. But he would provide a few perfect chases... or rather... hunts. Which brings me to my personal pic. Kraven The Hunter would be ideal for the fourth film. With both Kraven AND the lizard not being bad guys to the bone, together they might just be what the franchise needs to wall crawl back to the top. It would also open the door for Kraven's brother, The Cameleon, in the fifth addition. Just as much as he keeps Papajohn the flock away from SM4 and we'll be fine. The Horse is DEAD... doesn't matter what you do with your stick!!!
Now i know that some have suggested Brolin for the role and no doubt he'd have the look but would lack in substance. Don't get me wrong, what i'm saying is that he's too... oscar worthy for this type of franchise. We need more of a ..."boom, boom, POW" performance if Raimi ever wants to get out of that water hazzard. And my pic would be ideal to bring the sizzle to the steak!!!
