Felicity Jones Features In GQ; Says She Would Love To Play Spider-Man's BLACK CAT

Even though the future of the Spider-Man franchise is uncertain, many actors are optimistic about a third outing. Felicity Jones, who portrayed Felicia Hardy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, recently spoke with GQ about her potential role as the Black Cat. Check out her photoshoot too!

While, Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was still a colossal hit, pulling in over $708M at the box office, it left many critics and fans unsatisfied due to a convoluted script, questionable dialogue, and excessive studio interference. The film ended its box office run as the lowest grossing Spider-Man film ever and has seemingly left the entire franchise in flux. Not the greatest news for a lifelong Spidey fan.

Felicity Jones, who portrayed Harry Osborn's mysterious assistant Felicia (later revealed to be Felicia Hardy) in the film, recently sat down with GQ to promote her upcoming Stephen Hawking biopic, The Theory of Everything. During the interview she was asked about her potential role as the Black Cat, and while the status of the third film (or any potential spinoff) is still uncertain, it seems as though Felicity is fairly enthusiastic about donning the leather suit. Check out her response:

GQ: We read rumors that you're Amazing Spider-Man's Black Cat.

Felicity: Being vacuum-packed into a leather suit, doing backflips?! I'd love that. Can you start a petition for me?

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Felicity as the Black Cat? Or would you like the role to be recast? Sound off with your thoughts below!

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones as Felicia

Yesterday I neared completion on the full, unredacted version of "hurricane yoss"
If you print out the original lyrics of Dylan's "hurricane" I went pretty much line for line.

I'm no wierd al yankovic but it turned it well.
Ill post the poem/lyric later today or his evening - but do any of you knuckleheads lay guitar or sing ?
It's a beauty.
It's our protest song.
To fight the man.

Well I'm posting it later.

Somebody needs to set it to music.

Maybe even just a slide show of the "yossified" lyrics over an instrumental of hurricane

We kid around a lot - but I'm totally on the level here.

It's the full 16 verse epic, about yoss and McGee and black and yellow. Gusto has a cameo (he steals the whole thing)
But I don't play guitar and can't sing for shit

Would love to see Felicity become the Black Cat. Would love even more to see TASM3. Sony, let it happen. Then sell the rights back to Marvel. Just let Webb finish his [frick]ing story!

@Gusto

I have to say, I'm not happy to see you alive. I payed that hitman a lot of money, and he failed.
