Look At VFX For Clock Tower Scene From AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

To promote sales of DVDs of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony Pictures Imageworks have released a new VFX breakdown video covering some of the clock tower scenes.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

I have heard it has 13 deleted scenes and 100 minutes of extras.

The question then becomes;
Does any of this make TASM2 tolerable???

This scene was worth half the ticket price. I'm still waiting for a return on investment from the other half.

Just recently watched the bonus features the other day on Blu-Ray. Man they really put a LOT of work into this film and you'd be totally surprised how smartly they used CGI for certain scenes, from the actual breakdown of Spidey's costume to the making apof the theme for the film it's all just monumental (even if the film wasn't to some people).

@TheRationalNerd

Watching the making of extras were great. You see a lot of the work that went into it. Hell, the biggest surprise for me was seeing what was actually practical effects such as the Goblin suit, a majority of the clock tower, and the Times Square scene.

I can't wait for the sequel. Just so I can see more of Peter's loved ones dying just for him to not learn anything and continue to be the most irresponsible superhero ever.
