New Release Date For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Trailer Revealed

At a re-screening for Men in Black 3, the release date for the first Amazing Spider-man 2 trailer seemed to be revealed. Check out when after the jump.

By Stunyo - Nov 16, 2013 02:11 PM EST

At a re-screening for Men in Black 3 at a local theater, an image showed on the screen which stated that The Amazing Spider-man 2 official trailer will debut on December 5th.

I'm not sure if this info has been released anywhere else. I knew that it would show during The Hobbit DOS, but never heard anything about December 5th.

So are you excited for this new trailer? Is this news new? Comment below.

Spider-Man has gone sour in just about every medium. If this movie doesn't make up for that pitiful excuse of a reboot, I'm done with Spider-Man movies, too.

Loved TASM. Unnecessary hate.

I actually like TASM more than the first Raimi Spider-Man

In all honesty, I think TASM was pretty good, it's issue was the timing of the release, but it was good nonetheless.

I enjoyed ASM quite a bit, and it's really made me feel the Raimi ones, though fun, are just too corny to watch anymore.

Can't wait to see where this series takes the character.

Why do people insist on making fake pictures...

TASM1 felt like a glorified trailer. The scene jumps were ridiculous at times and it felt like 75% of the movie was cut. They better fix that in the sequel.

Pretty obvious it's fake. 1.) Rescreening of Men In Black 3?....
2.)What movie theater screen looks like that?
3.) The perspective of the screen and its size is way off.

Unlike many if you, I can't wait for the preview and the sequel. I loved both so much

Couldn't stand TASM tried to watch it again on DVD and had to fast forward through about the first half and haven't put the DVD bac in since. I don't have high hopes for the next installment, electors costume looks booty, hopefully rhino makes up for it and if the GG is bulked out all hope is lost for this franchise.

Didn't care for the first one that much, but still having a lot faith for this sequel.

If Levi was still around he would be talking about how much the first was bad.

I liked the Amazing Spider-Man but for me, it was in the good but NOT fantastic category. And in this day in age, after so many great comic book movies keeping up a high quality for CBMs, just "good" is not acceptable anymore

It all rests on this sequel, if this sequel is just adequate too...Spider-Man needs a long rest

@MarkJulian If I saw this post I would think the same things as you, but this really was on the screen, this is what I saw.
My local theater had select free movies today, like The Amazing Spiderman and MIB 3. I saw MIB 3 because I had never seen it before. The reason the image is so off is because I had to take a quick picture before it went away.

For anyone doubting the validity of this, here is the announcement made on the 'Sony Pictures Releasing Canada' Facebook page advertising the screenings.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151792794880967&set=a.207085300966.134935.67735400966&type=1

And here, is the ad itself:

As you can see, a screening of Men in Black 3, as well as other Sony films from 2012, including ASM, did in fact take place, and its entirely possible (and quite likely), that this ad was shown.

Hopefully the sequel does better. TASM was disappointing, but i'm sure they figured out what they need to improve on for this

Mark those answers are pitiful. Make sure you double check, eh? Go through every other resource before you actually debunk it.

I didn't go into TASM hating it. I went into it with an open mind. I knew it was going to be different from Raimi's Spider-Man. But where those movies understood how Peter Parker and world he lived worked. Those movies had heart and a personality.

TASM made Peter into an unrelatable, unlikable, idiotic jerk and made everybody else underdeveloped and boring. It also felt like the blatant cash-grab it was. The only reason it exists is to keep the film rights from reverting back to Marvel.

The people behind these movies don't get Spider-Man. They just see him as some kid who screws up all the time and fights crime. Anybody who actually gives a damn about him would know there is so much more.

I may give up entirely on future films just like I've given up on Spidey in every other medium, but I will never stop loving him for the great character so many other creative minds over the years have shaped him into.

I don't want to see people try to shape him into something he's not. I want him to be taken seriously and thought of as more just a gravy train. I want to see him grow as a character in every medium. It can be done. I have seen it be done. That's what I want. What we all want than what we got with TASM.

If you like TASM, good for you. We all have an opinion. You can call the original trilogy dated or corny all you want. But those movies still understood how important Spider-Man is as a character and a pop culture icon. That alone will never become irrelevant.

Amazing Spider-Man 1 was average at best..the suit sucked.
This new suit is the best one ever to be filmed, hope the second one is good.

Amazing Spider-Man was the Man of Steel of Marvel movies.
Both have terrible AND redeeming qualities and some more than others.
ASM was a little too dark.. just a little. Had awesome character chemistry and acting but that final act was as bad as Wolverines. Eww.
MoS was too dark.. TOO dark. Had great fight scenes but the fight scenes didn't make sense. How the hell does a fight scene not make sense?

I love Spider-man I hate saying I don't like a spider-man film but I do. I have no faith in this film there going screw it up just from my experience with the first film they made not bad but I was not please with how it was done. If Gwen dies it should be by Norman as green goblin not harry or electro if they mess that up I'll be pissed. Spider-man not as cool as he was when Raimi films were out Spider-man was the shit everything was awesome and exciting now I could care less about a new film. Plus I don't like Andrew because of the whole joke that Spider-man should be gay thing that was dumb of him to say there for I don't respect him for playing my favorite superhero.
JoJo1982

@slave

Yep true, it's not like Sony had a Spiderman movie that bombed and since Spidey is their only big superhero franchise they have, they planning on giving him up.
Andrew is going to be playing Spidey all the way in his 40s bet on that

MoS felt like aa alien race on earth film to me, it doesn't give you superhero vibe to it, but on TASM at least i felt it, but he was kinda douche bag on the first film, please make him a real superhero this time around! I'm excited to see a new trailer! spidey is the [frick]ing beast!

Like someone said before, Spidey has gone sour in almost every medium he's featured. This film better b good (or at least better than the first one, which was lame)or I'm done with Spider-Man. And this comes from a guy who got into comics as a Spider-Man fan...

Sony are trying to expand the property much like what marve studios are doing

Don't be surprised if we finally see a
Venom movie
Scarlet Spider movie
Miles' Spiderman movie

Someday, that should clearly tell ya Spiderman ain't going anywhere, plus all those release dates that got for the future. So whatever their planning it going to be big
